? <br />?u t <br />EXPERIENCE: <br />With over 40 years of professional experience, Mr. Saini has been responsible for the design and <br />project management of a wide variety of major civil engineering projects, with an emphasis an <br />freeways, highways and bridges, utility design and relocation, site development, drainage, a.nd right- <br />of-way. He has aetively participated for many years in the Bridge Replacement Prograzn of the Ohio <br />Department of Transportation, where proj ects have included preparation of Struetwe Type 5tudies, <br />hydraialic calculations and detail design for several types of structures such as steel beam bridges, slab <br />bridges, precast concrete box culverts, precast conerete three-sided structures (flat-topped and arch- <br />topped), prestressed concrete box beams and composite design superstructures. Loca.tions have <br />included rural and urban sites, and most required the preparation of stage construction dxawings to <br />maintain traffic during construction. <br />Relevant project experience includes: <br />Project Manager: Relocation of S.R. 264, Ohio Department of Transportation. <br />Alignment study, design report and construction documents for the selected route. <br />Four alterna.tive comdors were studied for this one and a half mile relocation, <br />crossing one stream and a railroad track. Work included highway alignment and <br />profile, flood plain studies, property acquisition, drainage design, bridge plans and <br />cost estimates. <br />Project Manager: Windermere Station, Greater Cleveland Regional Transit <br />Authority. This rapid transit station is at the ea.stern terminus of the "Red Line". The <br />existing station building will be demolished, and a new one built at an adjacent <br />location so that train traffic can be maintained during construction. Work included <br />track relocation work, grading and drainage. The track alignment was designed to <br />permit for a possible future extension of service to the east. <br />Projeet Manager. Northeast Corridor Improvement Program, for a 28 mile section <br />with four tracks between Washington and Baltimore. The work included realignment <br />of the main tracks, design of interlocks, and clearance studies at bridges and other <br />obstructions. He was also project manager on the design Qf rapid transit facilities for <br />Section K0051 of the Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority, covering <br />approximately 2.6 miles.
