<br />BAL R SAINI, P.E. <br />Senior Civil En ineer p$ e Z <br />Project Ma,nager: East Falls Church Station, Washington Metropolitan Area Tra.nsit <br />Authority. Work included the preparation of contract drawings and specifications for <br />Kiss-and-Ride and Pazk-and-Ride parking lots with bus bay areas, storm sewers, <br />utility relocations, pavement design and restoration and pavement marking. Loop <br />detectors and new tra.ffc signals were provided along the entrance fram North <br />5ycamore Street. <br />Project Manager: Edgewater Park Improvements, Ohio Department of Natural <br />Resources. This park nea,r downtown Cleveland along the shore of La.ke Erie was <br />developed to provide exercise trails, access roads, parking for 620 vehicles, <br />concession areas, picnic azeas, drainage and utilities. Mr. Saini was responsible for <br />coordinating the design work among the various disciplines for prepa.ration of <br />construction documents and specifications, and for overall design consistency and <br />quality control. <br />Project Engineer: Interstate Route 90 (Cleveland urban area) from West 1601h Street <br />to West 25'h Street, approximately seven miles. This section consisted of a new <br />limited access highway with four lanes in each direction, including two reversible lanes <br />which were eventually deleted from the construction, with five interchanges and 20 <br />bridge crossings. The project alsa included street closings, street relocations, fronta.ge <br />roads, and temporary runarounds. Mr. Saini was actively involved in the design of <br />geometrics, profiles and superelevations for the mainline from West 160th Street to <br />Berea Road, and of interchanges at Alger Road, West 159th Street and West 140th <br />Street. H'is responsibilities also included the relocation of Warren Road and the <br />widening of West 140th Street in the Cities of Cleveland a,nd Lakewood. Earthwork <br />and roadway quantities were computed with the use of in-house computer programs. <br />Project Manager: Cuyahoga Community College, Eastem Campus, Cleveland. <br />Prepared contract documents for the site work of the new campus in Cleveland's <br />ea.stem suburbs. Work included site grading, storm water management with a <br />detention pond, parking facilities, access raads, site lighting and utilities. <br />Project Engineer: Sta.te Route 410, Illinois. <br />Alternate route alignment studies and preliminary design report for a twenty-four mile <br />section. <br />PROFESSIUNAL REGISTRATION: <br />1971, Civil Engineering <br />
