It <br />,,..., <br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />ORDINANCE NO. 99-04 <br />By: Councilman Duane Limpert <br />AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING AND DIItECTING DON <br />COPELAND, DIRECTOR OF THE DEPARTMENT OF HUMAN <br />RESOURCES, TO MAKE APPLICATION ON BEHALF OF THE <br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED FOR COMMUNITY <br />DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT FUNDS FOR THE FISCAL <br />YEAR 1999 FOR MULTIPLE PROJECTS TITLED AMERICANS <br />WITH DISABILITIES ACT COMPLIANCE FOR THE CITY OF <br />NORTH OLMSTED'S SPRINGVALE BALLROOM, WEST 230TH <br />STREET AND SEWER IMPROVEMENTS, WEST 232ND STREET <br />AND SEWER IMPROVEMENTS, AND DECLARING AN <br />EMERGENCY AS AMENDED. <br />WHEREAS, this Council, after a public hearing conducted on January 14, 1999, has <br />deternuned that the City of North Olmsted qualifies for Community Development Block <br />Grant funds; and <br />WHEREAS, this Council created a Citizens Advisory Committee for C.D.B.G. through <br />Resolution No. 98-96; and <br />WHEREAS, the Citizens Advisory Committee submitted a report to this Council on <br />December 15, 1998 recommending multiple project applications; and <br />WHEREAS, the City has designated the Americans With Disabilities Act Compliance For <br />The City Of North Olmsted's Springvale Ballroom, West 230th Street and Sewer <br />Improvements, and West 232nd Street and Sewer Improvements as all being eligible for <br />funding through the Community Development Block Grant program funded by the United <br />States Department of Housing and Urban Development and administered for the City of <br />North Olmsted by the Cuyahoga County Board of Commissioners; and <br />WHEREAS, said projects consist of applying for up to the maximum award of $150,000 <br />for each of the following: <br />Project Priority 1- A.D.A. Compliance Improvements at Springvale Ballroom <br />Project Priority 2- West 230th Street and Sewer Improvements <br />Project Priority 3- West 232nd Street and Sewer Improvements; and <br />WHEREAS, the City of North Olmsted will select the project which is declared eligible <br />based upon its score on the Cuyahoga County C.D.B.G. Competitive Grant Scoring Sheet <br />criteria; and <br />
