13.2 Employees shall be perniitted to drop their paramedic certification after 18 years of contuiuous <br />service in order of seniority dowii. Employees that drop their Paramedic certification must <br />maintain their EMT certification. Empiovees shall be permitted ta drop tiieir parainedic <br />certification providing the total niunber of remaining parameclics does not fail below thirty-three <br />(> ;). Should manning increase, the total minimum number of paramesiics required wou.id increase <br />bv one (l) for every three (3) addiuonal hires. <br />ARTICLE XIX <br />HEALTH BENEFITS <br />19.1 T7ie employer shall provide either individual or family medical insiuance coverage at the <br />Employee's option for each fiill-time Employee. The Employer shall hzve the option af seeking <br />alternate liealth insuraitce providers or plaiis and will atten.ipt to offer at lcast tNvo (2) dif£erent <br />pians. Basic hospitaiization Mil be consistent with and similar to those plans aftered on July 1, <br />1995. Basic hospiialization will be that offered to all the: Employees of the Cih of North <br />Olmsted. The Employer has the right to negotiate co-payment and prescription dnig rates with <br />proxnders to lower the cost to the EmploN-er as well as the Employce. <br />19.2 A. Effective January 1, 1999, tlirough December 31, 1999, fu11-time Employee(s) <br />participating within either vi individual or family plan shall contribute an amowit equal <br />to ten percent (100/6) of the plan premium or expected cost of such niedicai plan and the <br />Employer sha11 contribute ninety percent (90%) of such cost. The Employee contribution <br />shall be withheld via payroil deduction not later than the first pay period each mondi. <br />B. Effective January 1, 2000 and through Jwie 30, 2001; full-tiine Employee(s) participatuig <br />within either art individual or family plan shall contribute an amount equal to rivelve <br />percent (12%) of the plan premiwn or eYpected cost of such meclical plan and the <br />Employer shall contribute eighty-eight (881/6) percent of such cost. The Employee <br />contribution shall be witlilield via payroll deduction not later than tlie first pay period <br />each month. <br />C.
