? <br />? <br />Resolution No. 2003-82 <br />WHEREAS, this legislation providing for a capital improvement may properly be adopted <br />as an emergency measure, because the initial legislation providing for the funding of said <br />improvement was neither designated as an emergency measure nor enacted under suspension of <br />the rules of Council; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />NORTH OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA, AND 5TATE OF OHIO: <br />SECTION 1: That the Director of Public Safety be and he is hereby authorized to <br />immediately advertise for and commence competitive bidding for the complete renovation of the <br />basketball courts located in North Olmsted Park, in accordance with the plans and specifications <br />on file in the office of the Director of Public Safety, and further that, upon approval by the Board <br />of Control, the Mayor is further authorized and directed to enter into a contract with and execute <br />the same on behalf of the City of North Olmsted with the lowest and best bidder. <br />SECTION 2: That this Resolution is hereby declared to be an emergency measure <br />immediately necessary for the preservation of the public health, safety and welfaze, and, for the <br />additional reason, that it is necessary that this legislation go into effect immediately so as to <br />immediately address the deteriorated condition of the basketball courts and provide for the courts <br />in time for the summer season, and further provided that it receives the affirmative vote of two- <br />thirds of a11 members of Council, it shall take effect and be in force immediately upon its passage <br />and approval? the Mayor. <br />ATTEST.• <br />L <br />First Reading: <br />PASSED: <br />Second Reading: <br />Third Reading: <br />Committee: <br />(?Z-4 <br />ARA L.
