?. ? <br />=. ..? .??.? <br />. ? <br />Resolution No. 2003-57 <br />Page 2 <br />SECTION 1: This Council recognizes that the citizens of the City of North Olmsted are <br />bound by, subject to and otherwise affected by determinations rendered by the PUCO and the <br />Ohio General Assembly with respect to SBC's long distance telephone service proposal, and the <br />citizens of the City of North Olmsted, by and through this Council, are entitied to present and <br />communicate this Resolution in support of the SBC long distance telephone service plan to the <br />decision making officers in the State government; <br />SECTION 2: That the Clerk of Council is hereby authorized and directed ta forward a <br />certified copy of this Resolution to the aforesaid Honorable Alan Schriber, Chairman of the <br />PUCO, and also to State Representative Sa11y Conway Kilbane, and also to State Senator Robert <br />Spada, forthwith and with appropriate explanatory correspondence; <br />SECTION 3: That this Resolution is hereby declared to be an emergency measure <br />immediately necessary for the preservation of the public health, safety and welfare, and for the <br />reason that it is necessary that this Resolution go into effect immediately due to recent public <br />hearings, debate and consideration of the SBC long distance telephone services matter and are <br />imminent determinations to be rendered by the PUCO and the Ohio General Assembly, and <br />further provided it receives the affirmative vote of two-thirds of all members of this Council, it <br />shall take effect and be in force immediately upon its passage and approval by the Mayor. <br />PASSED: 3 <br />First Reading: _ Z1 i 0 3 <br />Second Reading: ?z <br />Third Reading: .?.e <br />Committee: <br />A <br />BARBARA L.
