NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF NORTH OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA AND STATE OF OHIO: <br />SECTION 1: That this Council fully endorses and supports the joint efforts of the <br />North Olmsted Department of Human Resources, through its Community Diversion <br />Program, and the North Olmsted Boa.rd of Education to develop and implement a <br />BRIDGE program in order to assist community youths in learning to deal with alcohol, <br />tobacco and other drug use/abuse issues and to mobilize and promote healthy youth <br />development, and urges the Director of Hurnan Resources and the Youth Development <br />Program Coordinator to take a11 necessary and appropriate steps to continue to develop <br />and implement the BRIDGE program components, in co-operation with the North <br />Olmsted Board of Education, in order to work toward achieving the worthy goals of the <br />program. <br />SECTION 2: That the Clerk of this Council is hereby directed to transmit a fully <br />attested copy of this Resolution to the President of the North Olmsted Board of <br />Education. <br />SECTION 3: That this Resolution is hereby declared to be an emergency measure <br />immediately necessary for the preservation of the public health, safety and welfare, and <br />for the further reason that it is necessary that this Resolution immediately go into effect <br />so that community youths may immediately begin to benefit from the BRIDGE program, <br />and further provided it receives the affirmative vote of two-thirds of the members of this <br />Council, it shall take effect and be in force immediately upon its approval by the Mayor.. <br />PASSE D. 9L?
