NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA AND STATE OF OHIO: SECTION 1: That this Council fully endorses and supports the joint efforts of the North Olmsted Department of Human Resources, through its Community Diversion Program, and the North Olmsted Boa.rd of Education to develop and implement a BRIDGE program in order to assist community youths in learning to deal with alcohol, tobacco and other drug use/abuse issues and to mobilize and promote healthy youth development, and urges the Director of Hurnan Resources and the Youth Development Program Coordinator to take a11 necessary and appropriate steps to continue to develop and implement the BRIDGE program components, in co-operation with the North Olmsted Board of Education, in order to work toward achieving the worthy goals of the program. SECTION 2: That the Clerk of this Council is hereby directed to transmit a fully attested copy of this Resolution to the President of the North Olmsted Board of Education. SECTION 3: That this Resolution is hereby declared to be an emergency measure immediately necessary for the preservation of the public health, safety and welfare, and for the further reason that it is necessary that this Resolution immediately go into effect so that community youths may immediately begin to benefit from the BRIDGE program, and further provided it receives the affirmative vote of two-thirds of the members of this Council, it shall take effect and be in force immediately upon its approval by the Mayor..
