<br />Memorandum <br />NORTH OLJ?67ED ENGINEERING <br />12/16/2002 <br />PLAN PREPARATION REQUIREMENTS FOR CITY PROJECTS <br />General <br />1. The title block on each sheet shall contain the initials of the designer, drafter and <br />checker. <br />2. Plan sheets are not to exceed 24 inches by 36 inches. <br />3. The plans shall not be copyrighted. The City of North Olmsted sha11 be permitted to <br />make copies as required. <br />Title Sheet <br />1. Project title <br />2. Location map at a scale such that project limits are clearly identifiable and legible <br />(show detour routes if possible) <br />3. Index of sheets <br />4. Engineer's/Surveyor's seals <br />5. Brief project description (describe the primary purpose of the project and the project <br />length) <br />6. Name and address of design firm preparing the plan <br />7. Approval signatures <br />8. Include a symbol legend <br />9. The title block on each sheet shall contain the initials of the designer, drafter and <br />checker. <br />Schematic Plan <br />1. All projects shall include a schematic plan unless the project is short enough to be <br />shown on one plan and profile sheet. <br />2. Use a scale of 1"=100', 1"=200' or 1"=500'. It is preferable to show the whole <br />schematic plan on one sheet. <br />3. Show all reference lines including centerline of right of way, centerline of survey, <br />centerline of construction and baseline of ramp, etc. <br />4. Show stationing at intervals of 100 feet. Stationing should increase to the north or to <br />the east. <br />5. Show bearings for the tangent sections of all reference lines. <br />6. Show all horizontal curve data and data for deflections without curves. <br />7. Show the project limits. <br />8. Show all waterways. <br />9. Show all bridges with their appropriate identification number.
