?
3. All existing features shall be shown and the disposition of these items within the
existing and/or proposed right of way shall be indicated.
4. Existing features, except buildings, shall be shown using dashed lines.
5. All proposed features and utilities shall be shown.
6. Storm sewers larger than 15-inch diameter shall be shown to scale by the use of two
parallel lines.
7. One bench mark shall be shown on each plan and profile sheet.
8. A separate water main plan and profile shall be provided if work on more than one
utility is required. The water main plan and profile shall include the details for the
water line. The roadway plan and profile shall show the proposed water line location
and size in plan and profile view, but details need not be labeled.
9. Separate storm sewer profiles shall be provided if the plan and profile is too
congested to be legible, if there is more than one set of parallel proposed storm
sewers, and if the storm sewers are not parallel to the centerline or baseline of
construction.
10. When the project is complex, separate sanitary sewer plan sheets may be required.
11. Existing right of way lines and proposed right of way lines shall be shown.
12. Curbs shall be shown by use of a double line.
13. Existing and proposed drive and apron material types shall be shown.
14. Manholes and catch basins shall be drawn to scale (for example, a 72-inch diameter
manhole shall be drawn using a circle with a diameter of six feet).
15. Show street addresses for each property.
Cross Sections
1. The horizontal and vertical scale of the cross section shall be 1"=5'.
2. Cross sections shall be laid out so that starioning increases from the bottom to the top
of each sheet.
3. Intervals between sections should normally be 50 feet. Sections should be shown as
often as necessary to accurately determine the character and extent of the proposed
work.
4. The limits of the existing pavement should be shown.
5. Existing features should be shown with dashed lines and proposed features with solid
lines.
6. Show the existing and proposed right of way lines.
Traffic Control Plans
1. Traffic control plans should be prepared at a scale such that the plans are legible.
Water Work Plans
1. Use standard general notes from the City of Cleveland Water Department.
