<br />4. <br />4 ' 5. <br />I <br />11 <br />4 <br />4 <br /> <br />0 <br />4 <br />a. Prepazation of design drawings and specifications for use in bidding and <br />construction. The specifications shall be incorporated into a Project Manual <br />which shall also include the advertisement, instruction to bidders, general <br />conditions, bid forms, Bond Requirements, Prevailing Wage Rates, Affidavits, <br />and other miscellaneous forms required for a bidding document. Final plans <br />and specifications shall incorporate all changes required in review of <br />preliminary or intermediate plans. <br />b. Work shall be coordinated with utility companies as necessary. <br />c. Fifteen (15) sets of plans and Project Manuals shall be furnished to the City <br />for bidding purposes. Additional sets shall be provided, if required, at cost. <br />d. An opinion of probable costs for the project, broken down into major <br />components, shall be submitted prior to bidding. <br />e. The Engineer or his representative shall be available to answer questions <br />regarding plan intent during bidding and construction and shall assist the City <br />in the evaluation of all bids received. Attendance at a Pre-Bid Conference for <br />potential bidders may be required. Attendance at a Pre-Construction meeting <br />will be required. <br />You may submit the price proposal in the format you deem most appropriate; however, <br />the City prefers the Proposal to include an amount not to exceed a specific dollar amount <br />for the design of the facility. You may also include any standard terms and conditions of <br />your Proposals, rates for supplementary services, and any clarifications or qualifications <br />to the requested Proposal which you deem appropriate. <br />It is anticipated that the contract for engineering services will be entered into not later <br />than February, 1996. It is required that the substantive design work be completed by <br />September, 1996 for submittal for final review comments. Bidding will occur not later <br />than Mazch, 1997. <br />Please submit the Proposal not later than October 31, 1995 and direct your Proposal to <br />the attention of the Service Director, Ralph H. Bohlmann, for acceptance by the Mayor. <br />If the Proposal is satisfactory, it will be presented to City C'ouncil for authorization to the <br />Mayor to enter into a contract for said services.
