EXHIBIT B- 11 CONTiNUED LABORATORY TECHNICIAN <br />• Conducts investigations and sampling programs of industrial waste problems and <br />wastewater flows which are of interest to #he municipal water pollution control <br />program, as outlined by the Superintendent. <br />• Performs unusual or difficult tests by setting up, taking down, and cleaning <br />chemical and bacteriologicat apparatus; makes special analysis as assigned by <br />superiors. <br />• Subject to 24- hour call during emergency situations. <br />• Performs all necessary analysis for wastewater plant performance. Analyzed <br />data is made available on a programmed schedule for optimum plant <br />performance, as directed by the Superintendent or Assistant Superintendent - <br />Plant Operations. All data must be tabutated immediately and kept current at all <br />times. <br />DESIRABLE KNOWLEDGE, ABILITIES AND SKILLS: <br />• Considerable knowledge of the elementary principles, practices and techniques <br />of chemistry and bacteriology. <br />• Considerable knowledge of modern accepted laboratory teehniques and <br />methodology. <br />• Considerable knowledge of the operating characteristics, adaptability's, and <br />maintenance requirements of basic modern chemical and bacteriological <br />laboratory apparafus. <br />• Ability to follow oral and written instructions exactly, and to prepare routine <br />reports on the results of laboratory tests performed. <br />• Skilled in laboratory manipulative techniques. <br />• Eyesight sufficiently strong to permit extended microscopic work, normal color <br />perception and keen sense of smell. <br />?1 <br />
