Section 3. The Union will indemnify and save the City harmless from any action growing <br />out of deductions hereunder and commenced by an employee against the City or the City and <br />the Union jointly. <br />Section 4. All bargaining unit employees who are not members of the Union shall pay a <br />fair share fee to the Union in the amount certified by the Union as being properly chargeable as <br />a fair share fee. All employees hired after the effective date of the Contract who do not become <br />members of the Union shall pay the fair share fee, effective sixty (60) days from the employee's <br />date of hire, as a condition of employment. The deduction of the fair share firom any earnings <br />of the employee shall be automatic and does not require a written authorization for payroll <br />deduction. Payment to the Union of fair share fees shall be made in accordance with Section 1 <br />and 2 above. <br />ARTICLE 5 - BULLETIN BOARDS <br />Section 1. The City shall provide the Union three (3) enclosed and locked bulletin <br />boards: one (1) in the City Hall; one (1) in the Police Station; and one (1) in the Recreation <br />Department, for notices of Union business, including notices of Union meetings, elections, and <br />other Union-related matters. All notices or other materials posted must be signed and dated by <br />a Union officer or steward. Upon request by the City, the Union shall remove any posting that is <br />inflammatory or critical of the City, City officials, or of any other employees or persons, of which <br />are political (partisan) in nature. <br />3 <br />
