CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED ORDINANCE NO. 95-67 BY: Mayor Edward Boyle AN ORDINANCE RATIFYING AND CONFIRMING THE SALE OF SURPLUS CITY OWNED PROPERTY ON BARTON ROAD BEARING PERMANENT PARCEL NO. 234-06-005, AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. WHEREAS, this Council adopted ordinance no. 94-15 authorizing the Director of Public Service to advertise for bids for the sale of vacant real property owned by the City located on Barton Road and bearing permanent pazcel no. 234-06-005; and WHEREAS, this Council after reviewing the appraisal for said property determined that the Board of Control would not be authorized to accept a bid for said property at a sum less than Thirty Thousand Dollazs ($30,000.00); and WHEREAS, the Director of Public Service did advertise consistent with Ordinance No. 94-15 and received bids all of which were less than Ten Thousand Dollars ($10,000.00); and WHEREAS, after a concerted effort, the Director of Public Service has received one bid in the amount of 'I?venty Seven Thousand Six Hundred Dollars ($26,700.00) from Ben K. Wright; and WHEREAS, the Boazd of Control has reviewed the bid of Ben K. Wright and has tentatively approved the awazding of a contract contingent upon Council modifying the minimum bid specified in Ordinance No. 94-15. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA AND STATE OF OHIO: SECTIONI: That this Council does hereby modify Ordinance No. 94-15 to the extent that the minimum bid requirement be lowered to the sum of Twenty Seven Thousand Six Hundred Dollars ($26,700.00), which amount has been offered by Ben K. Wright. And further, this Council does hereby approve, ratify and confirm the approval of the Board of Control regazding the awarding of a contract of sale to Ben K. Wright in the aforesaid amount.
