Section 30.05. The Employer shall institute a revised Drug and Alcohol Policy which complies <br />both with the FTA regulations and the requirements of the GCRTA operating agreement. <br />Section 30.06. In the event that the Employer ceases, in whole or in part, to provide transit <br />services and sells, assigns, leases or otherwise transfers all or part of the work covered by this <br />agreement, or in the event GCRTA makes a similar decision such that the Employer ceases to <br />provide transit services, then the Employer shall notify NOTEA, in writing; as soon as the City <br />becomes aware. The use of the work "part" above shall not include schedule adjustments, route <br />modifications or cancellations, because of changing ridership demographics. <br />ARTICLE XXXI <br />MAINTENANCE DEPARTMENT HOURS <br />Section 31.01. The normal work week for full-time material handlers, hostlers, mechanics and <br />equipment servicers shall be forty (40) hours of work in five (5) eight (8) hour days, exclusive of <br />time allotted for meals, during the period starting 12:01 AM Sunday to 12:00 (Midnight) <br />Saturday. However, this does not constitute a guarantee of hours or work per day or per week. <br />The Employer reserves the right, as operational needs and conditions require, to establish and <br />change hours of work and schedu(es of hours. <br />Section 31.02. All full-time Maintenance employees are allotted one fifteen (IS) minute paid <br />break during the first four (4) continuous hours of their sc6eduled work and one fifteen (15) <br />minute paid break during the second four (4) continuous hours of scheduled work. All full-time <br />Maintenance employees are al(otted one fifteen (15) minute paid break before lunch. for clean-up <br />time and one fifteen (IS) minute paid break immediatety prior ta the end of each employee's shift. <br />Lunch time shall not be paid, but it shatl be thirty (30) uninterrupted minutes; with the exception <br />of emergency breakdowns. <br />Section 31.03. All fu(1-time maintenance employees on a night shift which crosses the midnight <br />clock, will be paid new pay rates, effective at 12:00 midnight on dates in which pay raises are <br />granted. <br />ARTICLE XXXII <br />LONGEVITY <br />Section 32.01. Full-time hourly employees shall receive the following sums as increments for <br />the years of full-time continuous service with the Employer. For longevity purposes only <br />full-time continuous service with the NOMBL shall be considered. <br />(a) After 5 yeazs, prior to December 1 st. $400 per year <br />(b) After 10 years, prior to December lst. $600 per year <br />(c) After 20 years, prior to December lst. $800 per year <br />(d) After 25 years, prior to December 1 st. $900 per year <br />Section 32.02. The (ongevity payment shall be made in December vf each year, based upon <br />employees who have completed continuous service prior to December 1 st of the payment year. <br />24
