Ordinance No. 95-27 page 2 <br />WHEREAS, the City recognizes that a higher rating will be <br />given if both an MBE and WBE are participating; and <br />WHEREAS, the City desires to provide for Minority Business <br />Enterprise and Women Business Enterprise participation; and <br />WHEREAS, Cuyahoga County has established goals for <br />participation of Minority Business Enterprise and Women <br />Business Enterprise for construction related projects; and <br />WHEREAS, the City recognizes the MBE/WBE goals of Cuyahoga <br />County to be the target percentages for Community <br />Development Block Grant projects. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF NORTH OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA, AND STATE OF OHIO: <br />SECTION 1: That this Council does hereby authorize a <br />specification requirement for MBE/WBE participation <br />of 15% for Minority Business Enterprise and 5o for <br />Women Business Enterprise in Fiscal Year 1995 (21st <br />Year), for the project application to Community <br />Development Block Grant named "Street Improvements <br />and Lateral Sewer Improvements for Virginia Avenue <br />and Summerland Avenue." <br />SECTION 2: That this Ordinance is hereby declared to be an <br />emergency measure immediately necessary for the <br />preservation of the public health, safety, and <br />welfare, and for the further reason it is immediately <br />necessary for the City to file an application for <br />Community Development Block Grant funds on or before <br />March 27, 1995, and further, provided it receives the <br />affirmative vote of two-thirds of all members of the <br />Council, it shall take effect and be in force <br />immediately upon its passage and approval by the <br />Mayor. <br />
