? <br />•Elected or Director positions, listed in this Ordinance will be paid time and one-half of <br />their straight time rates of pay for hours worked in excess of eight (8) hours in any one <br />day; and time and one-half of their straight time rate of pay for hours worked in excess <br />of forty (40) hours in any one work week. Double time shall be paid to said employees <br />for Sundays and Holidays provided they have worked at least forty (40) hours during <br />the work week. <br />SECTION 17: That all full-time administrative and legislative personnel listed in <br />this Ordinance, with the exception of Directors, having completed five (5) years of full- <br />time service as an employee of the City shall be paid an additional four percent (4°k) of <br />their base annual salary; thereafter until completion of their tenth (10th) year of full-time <br />service, after which such employee shall receive five percent (5%) of their base annual <br />salary; thereafter until completion of their fifteenth (15th) year of full-time service, such <br />employee shall receive six percent (6%) of their base annual salary; until after the <br />completion of the finrentieth (20th) year of full-time service, and during each year of <br />full-time service thereafter, they shall receive seven percent (7°k) of their base annual <br />salary as longevity increments. <br />SECTION 18: That all full-time administration and legislative personnel listed <br />within this Ordinance shall receive the following holidays off, unless required to work <br />by their supervisor or the Mayor in emergencies, and shall receive their regular rate <br />of pay: New Year's Day; Presidents' Day; one-half (1/2) day on Good Friday; Memorial <br />Day; Independence Day; Labor Day; Thanksgiving Day; one-half (1/2) day on Christmas <br />Eve; Christmas Day; one-half (1/2) day on New Year's Eve Day; the employees <br />Birthday; and a floating holiday. <br />SECTION 19: That all full-time administration and legislative personnel listed <br />within this Ordinance shall be entitled to an annual vacation in accordance with the <br />Vacation Ordinance. All previous service as an elected City Public Official within <br />the City shall be considered full-time for the purpose of calculating vacation and sick <br />leave upon Retirement. <br />SECTION 20: That all full-time administrative and legislative Non-Bargaining <br />Unit personnel shall receive two (2) eight (8) hour days off with pay, or may elect to <br />be paid for finro (2) eight (8) hour days, for each six (6) continuous month period of <br />unused sick leave. No month shall be counted in more than one period. <br />SECTION 21: That all Ordinances or Resolutions or parts of Ordinances or <br />Resolutions in conflict herewith are hereby repealed with the effective date of this <br />Ordinance. <br />SECTION 22: That this Ordinance is hereby declared to be an emergency <br />measure immediately necessary for the preservation of the Public Health, Safety and <br />Welfare and for the future reason it is immediately necessary to review all pay scales <br />and bring them into line due to inflation and cost of living increases, and further, <br />provided it received the affirmative vote of two-thirds of all members of Council, it <br />Page 7 <br />95-24 <br />
