? •Elected or Director positions, listed in this Ordinance will be paid time and one-half of their straight time rates of pay for hours worked in excess of eight (8) hours in any one day; and time and one-half of their straight time rate of pay for hours worked in excess of forty (40) hours in any one work week. Double time shall be paid to said employees for Sundays and Holidays provided they have worked at least forty (40) hours during the work week. SECTION 17: That all full-time administrative and legislative personnel listed in this Ordinance, with the exception of Directors, having completed five (5) years of full- time service as an employee of the City shall be paid an additional four percent (4°k) of their base annual salary; thereafter until completion of their tenth (10th) year of full-time service, after which such employee shall receive five percent (5%) of their base annual salary; thereafter until completion of their fifteenth (15th) year of full-time service, such employee shall receive six percent (6%) of their base annual salary; until after the completion of the finrentieth (20th) year of full-time service, and during each year of full-time service thereafter, they shall receive seven percent (7°k) of their base annual salary as longevity increments. SECTION 18: That all full-time administration and legislative personnel listed within this Ordinance shall receive the following holidays off, unless required to work by their supervisor or the Mayor in emergencies, and shall receive their regular rate of pay: New Year's Day; Presidents' Day; one-half (1/2) day on Good Friday; Memorial Day; Independence Day; Labor Day; Thanksgiving Day; one-half (1/2) day on Christmas Eve; Christmas Day; one-half (1/2) day on New Year's Eve Day; the employees Birthday; and a floating holiday. SECTION 19: That all full-time administration and legislative personnel listed within this Ordinance shall be entitled to an annual vacation in accordance with the Vacation Ordinance. All previous service as an elected City Public Official within the City shall be considered full-time for the purpose of calculating vacation and sick leave upon Retirement. SECTION 20: That all full-time administrative and legislative Non-Bargaining Unit personnel shall receive two (2) eight (8) hour days off with pay, or may elect to be paid for finro (2) eight (8) hour days, for each six (6) continuous month period of unused sick leave. No month shall be counted in more than one period. SECTION 21: That all Ordinances or Resolutions or parts of Ordinances or Resolutions in conflict herewith are hereby repealed with the effective date of this Ordinance. SECTION 22: That this Ordinance is hereby declared to be an emergency measure immediately necessary for the preservation of the Public Health, Safety and Welfare and for the future reason it is immediately necessary to review all pay scales and bring them into line due to inflation and cost of living increases, and further, provided it received the affirmative vote of two-thirds of all members of Council, it Page 7 95-24
