.,? <br />AGREEMENT <br />This Agreement is made between the City of North Olmsted (hereinafter referred <br />to as the "City"), and the Ohio Patrolmen's Benevolent Association (hereinafter referred <br />to as the "OPBA"). <br />The purpose of this Agreement is to provide a fair and reasonable method of <br />enabling employees covered by this Agreement to participate, through representation, in <br />the establishment of terms and conditions of their employment, and to esta.blish a <br />peaceful procedure for the resolution of differences between the parties. <br />ARTICLE I <br />RECOGNITION <br />1.1 The employer recognizes the OPBA as the sole and exclusive bargaining <br />representative for a11 full-time and part-time Corrections Officers in the City of North <br />Olmsted, for the purpose of collective bargaining with respect to rates of pay, wages, <br />hours of work and certain other conditions of employment. It is further understood by <br />the parties that wages, total complement of personnel, and other economic provisions are <br />subject to enactment of an appropriate ordinance by the North Olmsted City Council to <br />the City Charter. <br />ARTICLE II <br />NON-DISCRIMINATION <br />2.1 Both the City and the OPBA recognize their respective responsibilities under the <br />Federal and State Civil Rights Laws, Fair Employment Practices Acts, and other similar <br />constitutional and statutory requirements. Therefore, both the City and the OPBA <br />hereby reaffirm their commitments, legal and moral , not to discriminate in any manner <br />1 <br />f : - -,
