<br />.~~~ <br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />ORDINANCE N0. 72-124 <br />AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING THE ORGANIZATIONAL <br />CHART OF THE FIRE DEPARTMENT, SETTING FORTH <br />THE COMPLEMENT OF THE FIRE DEPARTMENT AND <br />ESTABLISHING THE SALARIES OF THE MEMBERS OF <br />THE FIRE DEPARTMENT WHILE ON DUTY FOR THE <br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED, AND REPEALING ORDINAN CE <br />N0. 72-76, AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. <br />WHERBAS, the Finance Committee of Council has advised Council that it <br />is necessary to increase the salaries and compensation of the members of the Fire <br />Department, <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of North <br />Olmsted, State of Ohio: <br />Section 1. That the Organizational Chart of the Fire Department of the City <br />of North Olmsted (Chapter 141, Section 141.02, "Composition and Classification" <br />of the North Olmsted Codified Ordinances) shall read as follows: <br />A. That the Organizational Chart for the Fire Department and the <br />personnel set forth in the Organizational Chart shall consist of, the Chief of Fire <br />who shall be in charge of the entire Fire Department. <br />B. The Fire Chief shall also be iii charge of the General Duty Uniform <br />Roster, which shall consist of: One (1) Assistant Fire Chief. (Fire Prevention Bureau); <br />Three (3) Captains; Four (4) Lieutenants: Twenty-Seven (27) Firemen. <br />C. The Fire Department as constituted herein shall be classified by <br />the Director of Safety, as required by law. <br />Section 2. That retroactive to January 1, 1972, and henceforth, the base <br />salaries of the members of the Fire Department are hereby fixed and determined to <br />be as follows: <br />Fire Chief $15,315.00 Annually <br />Assistant Fire Chief (Fire <br />Prevention Bureau) $14,050.00 Annually <br />Captains $12,890.00 Annually <br />Fire Lieutenants $11,827.00 Annually <br />Firemen for First Year $ 8,983.00 Annually <br />Firemen for Second Year $ 9,872.00 Annually <br />Firemen after Second Year $10,850.00 Annually <br />Full time Firemen working for <br />the City of North Olmsted <br />during off duty hours $ .3.56 Per Hour <br />which salaries shall be payable by the Director of Finance bi-weekly. <br />A. Any of the above while assigned to the Fire 'Prevention Bureau <br />shall be paid additional compensation at the rate of $300.Ofl annually for all time <br />spent while assigned to the Fire Prevention Bureau.
