C CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED ORDINANCE NO. 72- ~~,g C AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE TRAFFIC CODE OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED, OHIO, SECTION 335.01 (CODIFIED ORDINANCES ), ENTITLED " OPERATOR OR CHAUFFEUR LICENSE REQUIRED ; RESTRICTION VIOLATION ;POSSESSION OF MORE THAN ONE LICENSE PHIBITED " TO CONFORM TO CHANGES ENACTSD BY THE OHIO GERAL ASSEMBLY, AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. WHEREAS, Council has determined that it is in the best interest of the City of North Olmsted that the North Olmsted Traffic Code be reviewed td eliminate any conflicts with provisions of the State Statutes, as enacted by the Ohio General Assembly. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of North Olmsted, State of Ohio Section 1. That Section 335. Dl ,Chapter 335 (Codified Ordinances) of the 14orth Olmsted Traffic Code reading as follows : Section 335.01 OPERATOR OR CHAUFFEUR LICENSE REQUIRED ; RESTRICTION VIOLATION ;POSSESSION OF MORE THAN ONE LICENSE PROHIBITED . (a) No person, except those expressly exempted under Ohio R.C. 4507.03 to 4507.05, inclusive, shall drive any motor vehicle upon a street or highway in this Municipali~~,- unless such person, upon application, has been licensed as an operator or chauffeur by the Ohio Registrar of Motor Vehicles, pursuant to Ohio R.C. Chapter 4507 (Driver's License Law) (ORC 4507.02 ) After January 1, 1969, no person, except those expressly exempted under Ahio R.C. 4507.03 to 4507.05, inclusive, shall drive any motorcycle upon a street or highway in this Municipality unless such person ,upon application, has been licensed as a motor- cycle operator by the Ohio Registrar of Motor Vehicles pursuant to Ohio R.C. Chapter 4507 (Driver's License Law) . (ORC 4507.02 ) (b) No nonresident of Ohio shall drive any motor vehicle upon a street or highway of this Municipality unless he has in his possession a vaild and current operator's or chauffeur's license issued to him by another jurisdiction recognized by the State of Ohio . No nonneafdent of Ohio, upon demand of any police officer at any time or place, shall fail to prove lawful possession or his right to operate such motor vehicle, or fail to establish proper identity... (ORC 5407.04 ) (c) No person shall operate any motor vehicle in violation of any restriction imposed on his operator's or chauffeur's license by the Ohio Registrar of Motor Vehicl=es pursuant to Ohio R.C. 4x07.14.
