C <br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />ORDINANCE NO. 72- ~~,g <br /> <br />C <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE TRAFFIC CODE OF <br />THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED, OHIO, SECTION <br />335.01 (CODIFIED ORDINANCES ), ENTITLED <br />" OPERATOR OR CHAUFFEUR LICENSE REQUIRED ; <br />RESTRICTION VIOLATION ;POSSESSION OF MORE <br />THAN ONE LICENSE PHIBITED " TO CONFORM <br />TO CHANGES ENACTSD BY THE OHIO GERAL <br />ASSEMBLY, AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. <br />WHEREAS, Council has determined that it is in the best interest of the City <br />of North Olmsted that the North Olmsted Traffic Code be reviewed td eliminate any <br />conflicts with provisions of the State Statutes, as enacted by the Ohio General <br />Assembly. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of North <br />Olmsted, State of Ohio <br />Section 1. That Section 335. Dl ,Chapter 335 (Codified Ordinances) of the <br />14orth Olmsted Traffic Code reading as follows : <br />Section 335.01 OPERATOR OR CHAUFFEUR LICENSE REQUIRED ; RESTRICTION <br />VIOLATION ;POSSESSION OF MORE THAN ONE LICENSE <br />PROHIBITED . <br />(a) No person, except those expressly exempted under Ohio R.C. <br />4507.03 to 4507.05, inclusive, shall drive any motor vehicle <br />upon a street or highway in this Municipali~~,- unless such <br />person, upon application, has been licensed as an operator <br />or chauffeur by the Ohio Registrar of Motor Vehicles, pursuant <br />to Ohio R.C. Chapter 4507 (Driver's License Law) (ORC <br />4507.02 ) <br />After January 1, 1969, no person, except those expressly exempted <br />under Ahio R.C. 4507.03 to 4507.05, inclusive, shall drive any <br />motorcycle upon a street or highway in this Municipality unless <br />such person ,upon application, has been licensed as a motor- <br />cycle operator by the Ohio Registrar of Motor Vehicles pursuant <br />to Ohio R.C. Chapter 4507 (Driver's License Law) . (ORC <br />4507.02 ) <br />(b) No nonresident of Ohio shall drive any motor vehicle upon a <br />street or highway of this Municipality unless he has in his <br />possession a vaild and current operator's or chauffeur's license <br />issued to him by another jurisdiction recognized by the State of <br />Ohio . <br />No nonneafdent of Ohio, upon demand of any police officer at <br />any time or place, shall fail to prove lawful possession or <br />his right to operate such motor vehicle, or fail to establish <br />proper identity... (ORC 5407.04 ) <br />(c) No person shall operate any motor vehicle in violation of any <br />restriction imposed on his operator's or chauffeur's license by <br />the Ohio Registrar of Motor Vehicl=es pursuant to Ohio R.C. <br />4x07.14. <br /> <br />
