G. That all full time employees of the North Olmsted Police Department, excluding secretarial and clerical help, shall be entitled to certain holidays during the year and shall not be required to work on these holidays, unless scheduled to work by the Chief of Police. In the. event the employee works on one of the following holidays, the employee shall receive another day off from work to replace the holiday he worked. The scheduled holidays are as follows: New Year's Day; Memorial Day; Independence Day; Labor Day; thanksgiving Day; Christmas Day; the employee's birthday, and the employee's personal use day, this provision does not apply to Auxiliary Police or School-Guards. H. That all full time secretarial and clerical help shall be entitled to certain holidays during the year and shall .not be required to work on these holidays, unless scheduled to work by the Chief of Police, In the event the employee works on one of the following holidays, the employee shall receive another day off from work to replace the holiday she worked. The scheduled holidays are as follows: New Year's Day; Memorial Day; Independence Day; Labor Day; Thanksgiving Day; Christmas Day; the employee's birthday. I. That all full time employees of the Police Department shall be entitled to an annual vacation in accordance with. the following schedule: Two (2) weeks vacation after one (1) year full time service. Three {~) weeks vacation after seven (7) years full time service. Four (4) weeks vacation after fifteen (15) years full time service. Section 3. That the employees of the Police Department of the City of North Olmsted be reimbursed, not to exceed $3.00 per day, for per diem expenses while in attendance at the Police Training School established by the Cuyahoga County" Commissioners at Western Reserve University, which school is for a two (2) week period with ten (10) days class attendance. Section 4. That all other ordinances or resolutions, or parts of resolutions or parts or ordinances, inconsistent herewith to the provisions of this Ordinance, and especially Ordinance No. 72-75, enacted June 6, 1972, are hereby repealed with the effective date of this Ordinance. Section 5. That the Clerk of Council be and she is hereby directed to forward a copy of this Ordinance to .the Director of Finance in order that the Director of Finance can pay the compensation as hereinabove set forth, and a copy of this Ordinance to the Chief of Police. Section 6. That this Ordinance is hereby declared to be an emergency measure necessary for the preservation of the public peace, health, safety and welfare of the City by virtue of the fact that the Finance Department can compute gAy raises at the same time for all Departments.
