That excluding secretarial and clerical employees, that <br />all full time employees of the Engineering Department having completed five (5) <br />years of full time continuous service, as employees of said department, shall be <br />paid an additional 3% of their base annual salary, thereafter until completion <br />of ten (10) years of full time continuous service, af~ker which such employee <br />shall receive 4% of their base annual salary, thereafter until completion of <br />their fifteenth (15) year of continuous full time service, after which said <br />employee shall receive 5% of their base annual salary until completion of <br />their twentieth (20) year of continuous full time service, and thereafter each <br />year of full time service thereafter they shall receive 6% of their base annual <br />salary as longevity increments. <br />Section 5. That all full time employees of the Engineering Department <br />shall receive the following holidays off, unless requested to work by the Mayor <br />in emergencies; New Year's Day; Memorial Day; Independence Day; Labor Day; <br />Thanksgiving Day; Christmas Day; the employee's birthday. <br />Section 6. That all full time employees of the Engineering Department <br />shall be entitled to an annual vacation in accordance with the following schedule: <br />Two (2) weeks vacation after one (1) year full time service. <br />Three (3) weeks vacation after seven (7) years full time service. <br />Four (4) weeks vacation after fifteen (15) years full time service. <br />Section 7. The City of North Olmsted shall contribute a single persons <br />rate towards the purchase of hospitalization with Blue Cross and Medical <br />Mutual Hospitalization Plans, as set forth in Contracts 53 YK and 57 ZK, for all <br />secretarial and clerical es~gloyees of the Engineering Department of the City of <br />North Olmsted. <br />The Gity of North Olmsted shall pay the full amount, single <br />persons rate, of the hgs~i alization cost for unmarried full time employees of <br />the Engineering Department, and in the event any full time employee of the <br />Engineering Department is married or is the head of the family the City of <br />North Olmsted shall contribute an additional sum of $200.00 per year towards the <br />cost of a family hospitalization plan with Blue Cross and M~:dical Mutual, both <br />single persaas hospitalization and family hospitalization plans shall be <br />established by Contracts 53 YK and 57 ZK. <br />Section 8. That the Clerk of Council is hereby directed to forward <br />a copy of this Ordinance to the Director of Finance in order that the Director <br />of Finance can pay the compensation as hereinabove set forth. <br />Section 9. That all other ordinances or resolutions, or parts of <br />ordinances or parts of resolutions, inconsistent herewith to the provision of <br />this Ordinance, and especially Ordinance No. 71-57, enacted April 20, 1971, <br />are hereby repealed with the effective date of this Ordinance. <br />Section 10. That this Ordinance is hereby declared to be an emergency <br />measure necessary for the preservation of the public peace, health, safety and <br />welfare of the City by virtue of the fact of the immediate necessity of adjusting <br />with the requirements of the various jobs.
