J n <br />. -1- . <br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />ORDh~, NCE NO. 71- / COQ <br />av:-~ <br />Ame :d 11-16-71 <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 155, SECTIONS <br />155.01, 155.02, 155.03, 155.04, 155.05, 155.06 <br />155.07, 155.08, 166,09, 155.10, 155.11,155.1,155.14, <br />155.15 and 155.16.OF THE NORTH OLMSTED CODIFIED <br />ORDINANCES. `i ~Np LbECLARING AN EMERGENCY. <br />WHEREAS, the voters of the City of North Olmsted have amended the Charter <br />provisions, Article VII, Section 3, previously entitled, "Recreation Commission " ; <br />and <br />WHEREAS, Council nowsr~r~wishes to amend Chapter 155 , and the Sections contained <br />therein to correspond with the Charter $rovisions Artie VII, Section 3. <br />NOW, Tf3EREFORE, BE IT ORDAIDNED by the Council of the City of North <br />Olmsted, State of Ohio <br />Section 1. That Chapter 155, North Olmsted Codified Ordinances, and the <br />following sections titled and reading as follows <br />155.01 Powers and Duties. <br />As established by the City Charter in Article VII, Section 3, the <br />Recreation Commission shall have such duties as are designated by Council, and <br />shall plan, provided and implement recreational programs for the City ,all to be <br />carried out within the annual budget approved by Council. The Commission shall <br />work closely with the Public Parks and Recreation Commission of Council on all <br />recreational programs. The two shall jointly submit an annual budget to the Finance <br />Committee of Council, which must be approved by Council as a whole, and shall <br />made recommendations on programs, expenditures and capital improvement. <br />155.02 Mee~• <br />The Recreation Commission shall meet at leapt once a month. <br />Such meeting shall be op®e to the public and held in a public building, preferly <br />City Hall. A majority of the members appointed to the Commission, more specifically <br />three, must ~e present to enact any official bus~,ess . <br />155.03 Nonattendance ;Removal. <br />In the event a member of the Recreation Commission is absent for <br />three consecutive meetings or more than fifty percent of the total annual meeting in <br />one year, he may be asked to resign by official action of the Recreation Commission. <br />If he refuses, the Commission shall notify the Mayor and the Public Parks and <br />Recreation Committee of Council, who shall then take the appropriate action necessary <br />to remove such delinquent member. <br />155.04 Chairman, Vice-Chairman Appointed ;Time of Meetin~c~s. <br />At the January meeting of each year, the Recreation Commission <br />shall designate one of its members as Chairman and another as Vice-Chairman, and <br />at that tie~e shall designate the regular: meeting dates for the year and the hour <br />such meetings are to commence. <br />
