<br /> <br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />155.05 Secrebarv. <br /> <br />ORDINANCE NO. 71-/w d PAGE 2 <br />The Recreation Commission shall appoint one of its members or <br />someone else, to act as Secretary. The Secretary of the Recreation Commission <br />shall keep detailed minutes of all meetings, sending a copy of such minutes to <br />the Clerk of Council within ten days after each meeting, and shall perform such <br />other duties as designated by the Chairman of the Recreation Commission. Re- <br />muneration for the Secretary of the Recreation Commission shall be established <br />by Council. <br />155.06 Recreation Director. <br />The Recreation Commission shall appoint apart-time Recreation <br />Director to direct recreation programs as established by the Commission ,and for such <br />other duties as the Recreation Commission shall designate in writing. The salary of <br />the Recreation Director shall be established by Council. <br />155.07 Year-Round Programs. <br />The Recreation Commission shall provide year-round programs and <br />activities for persons of all ages as it deems appropriate. <br />155.08 Public Parks and Recreation Committee. ' <br />The Recreation Commission shall work with the Public Parks and <br />Recreation Committee of Council on improvements and additional recreational facilities <br />and equipment. <br />155.09 School. Board. <br />The Recreation Commission shall work with the School Board at <br />the request of such School Board. <br />15 5.10 Recreational Goads . <br />The Recreation Commission shall perform the function of leader in <br />the City, as it pertains to recreation, and should recommend and work toward obtaining <br />additional, and better recreational facilities and programs. It shall work closely with <br />the Public Parks and Recreation Committee of Council in attaining this goal. <br />15 5.11 Part-Time Employees . <br />The Recreation Commission may hire other part-time help for the <br />various recreation activities as provided to the approved table of organization. The <br />salary for such employees shall b~ established by Council. <br />15 5.12 Annual Budget . <br />The Finance Committee of Council shall furnish the estimated <br />income from the one-half mill levy, plus any other funds which may be ~ailab~iefrom <br />the General Fund , to the Recreation Commission for their budget work. A budget <br />for the following year shall be submitted to the Finance Committee of Council by <br />October 1, of each year. Such budget shall be detailed as to operating expenses , <br />labor equipment, materials and supplies. The recommended capital improvements <br />shall be listed individually showing the estimated cost of each. After approval of <br />the budget by Council, the Recreation Commission shall opet~ate within this budget. <br />155.14 Approval of Expenditures. <br />All expenditures shall be approved for payment by a ma jority of the <br />Recreation Commission and forwarded to the Finance Director. <br />
