CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED ORDINANCE NO. 71- ~~0 0 Section 155.06 DUTIES OF SECRETARY OF COMMISSION Page 5 The Fnrks and Recreation Commission shall also appoint one (1) of its members, or someone else, at act as Secretary. The Secretary of The Parks and Recreation Commission shall keep detailed minutes of ail meetings, sending a copy of all minutes to the Clerk of Council ,and members of the Commission within ten (10) days after each meeting, and shall perform such other duties as designated by the Chairman of the Commission. Remuneration for the Secretary of the Parks and Recreation Commission shall be established by the Council. Section 155.06 PARKS AND RECREATION COMMISSION AND PARKS AND RECREATION DIRECTORS AND ASSISTANT DIRECTORS As established by the Charter of the City of North Olmsted, Article V, Section 4, the Mayor shall hire, subject to the approval of Council, full-time and part- time Parks and Recreation Directors and Assistant Directors, as may from time to time be authorized by Council, to direct Division of Parks and Recreation and the recreation programs established by the Commission, and for such other duties as the Mayor or the Commission shall designate. The salaries of the Parks and Recreation Directors and Assistant Directors shall be established by the Council of the City of North Olmsted. Section 155.87 PARKS AND RECREATION COMMISSION DUTIES The Parks and Recreation Commission shall provide year-round programs and activities for persons of all ages as it deems a~~ropriate. Section 155.08 COUNCIL AND THE PARKS AND RECREATION COMMISSION The Pa~cs and Recreation Commission shall work with the Recreation, Public Parks and Building Committe of Council on improvements to park lands and additional recreational facilities and equipment. Section 155.09 THE PARKS AND RECREATION COMMISSION AND THE BOARD OF EDUCATION The Parks and Recreation Commission shall also work with the Board of Education to insure the best possible use of city and school facilities for public recreation without duplication of fiacilities or programs. Section 155.10 RECREATIONAL GOALS The Parks and Recreation Commission shall perform the function of leadership in the City, as it pertains to recreation and the preservation of natural land and park areas, and shall recommend and work toward obtaining more and better recreational facilities and programs and parks. Section 155.11 EMPLOYEES The Parks and Recreation Commission shall recommend the hiring of all employees of the Division of Parks and Recreation as provided in the latest ordinance Establishing the Complement of the Division of Parks and Recre- ation approved by Council. The salary for all employees of the Division of Parks and Recreation shall be established by Council of the City of North Olmsted.
