CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED ORDINANCE NO. 71- /~ 0 Page 4 ( 14) The square dance instructors shall receive ten dollars ($10.00 ) per session. be and the same is hereby amended to read as follows: CHAPTER 155 PARKS AND RECREATION COMMISSION Section 155.01 POWERS AND DUTIES As established by the Charter of the City of North Olmsted in Article VY~' , Section 3, the Parks and Recreation Commission shall have such duties in addition to those specified by the Charter, as are designated by the Council of the City of North Olmsted, and shall p~dn , provide , and implement recre- ational programs and facilities for the City of North Olmsted, all to be carried out within the annual budget for the Division of Parks and Recreation recom- mended by the Commission and approved by Council. The Commission shall work closely with the Recreation, Pi~lic Parks and Building Committee of Council on all recreational programs. Tess Commission and the Committee shall jointly submit an annual budget to the ~i.nance Committee of Council, which must be approved by Council as a whole, and shall make recommence dations on employee salaries and capital improvements. Section 155.02 MEETINGS The Parks and tion Commission shall hold at least one ~ l) regular monthly meeting during each calendar month ~ said meeting to be open to the public and held in a public building, preferably City Hall, and a mini- mum of four (4) members must be present to enact any official business. In addition to the aforesaid monthly public meeting the Parkk and Recreation Commission may, at its discretion, authorize the Commission Chairman to call such additional special public or closed meetings as the Commission feels are or may be necessary to properly discharge the duties and responsi- bilities of the Parks and Recreation Commission. Section 155.OH POWER AND DUTIES AS TO ATTENDANCE OF MEMBERS In the event a member of the Parks and Recreation Commission is absence for theee (3) consecutive regular monthly meetings or for mare than fifty per cent (50%) of the total of all meetings in any one period of twelve (12 ) consecutive dalendar months the Parks and Recreation Commission Secretary shall notify the Mayor and the Recreation, Parrks and Building Committee of Council in writing and the aforesaid Committee of Council who shall present same to the North Olmsted Council who may take the action necessary to re- move such delinquent member and a replacement member shall be appointed to the Parks and Recreation Commission by that authority which appointed the member who is removed. For purposes of this Section 155.03 all special meetings of the Parks and Recreation Commission shall be excluded arhen determining the number of consecutive absences but shall be included when determining percentage of absence. Section 155.04 AFFAIRS AND MEETINGS At the January meeting of each year, the Parks and Recreation Commission shall designate one (1) of its members as Chairman and another as Vice- Chairman, and at that time shall designate the regular meeting dates and place for the year and how said meeting are to commence.
