<br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED ORDINANCE NO. 71- /~ 0 Page 4 <br />( 14) The square dance instructors shall receive ten dollars ($10.00 ) <br />per session. <br /> <br />be and the same is hereby amended to read as follows: <br />CHAPTER 155 PARKS AND RECREATION COMMISSION <br />Section 155.01 POWERS AND DUTIES <br />As established by the Charter of the City of North Olmsted in Article VY~' , <br />Section 3, the Parks and Recreation Commission shall have such duties in <br />addition to those specified by the Charter, as are designated by the Council <br />of the City of North Olmsted, and shall p~dn , provide , and implement recre- <br />ational programs and facilities for the City of North Olmsted, all to be carried <br />out within the annual budget for the Division of Parks and Recreation recom- <br />mended by the Commission and approved by Council. The Commission shall <br />work closely with the Recreation, Pi~lic Parks and Building Committee of <br />Council on all recreational programs. Tess Commission and the Committee <br />shall jointly submit an annual budget to the ~i.nance Committee of Council, <br />which must be approved by Council as a whole, and shall make recommence <br />dations on employee salaries and capital improvements. <br />Section 155.02 MEETINGS <br />The Parks and tion Commission shall hold at least one ~ l) regular <br />monthly meeting during each calendar month ~ said meeting to be open to <br />the public and held in a public building, preferably City Hall, and a mini- <br />mum of four (4) members must be present to enact any official business. <br />In addition to the aforesaid monthly public meeting the Parkk and Recreation <br />Commission may, at its discretion, authorize the Commission Chairman to <br />call such additional special public or closed meetings as the Commission <br />feels are or may be necessary to properly discharge the duties and responsi- <br />bilities of the Parks and Recreation Commission. <br />Section 155.OH POWER AND DUTIES AS TO ATTENDANCE OF MEMBERS <br />In the event a member of the Parks and Recreation Commission is absence <br />for theee (3) consecutive regular monthly meetings or for mare than fifty <br />per cent (50%) of the total of all meetings in any one period of twelve (12 ) <br />consecutive dalendar months the Parks and Recreation Commission Secretary <br />shall notify the Mayor and the Recreation, Parrks and Building Committee of <br />Council in writing and the aforesaid Committee of Council who shall present <br />same to the North Olmsted Council who may take the action necessary to re- <br />move such delinquent member and a replacement member shall be appointed <br />to the Parks and Recreation Commission by that authority which appointed the <br />member who is removed. For purposes of this Section 155.03 all special <br />meetings of the Parks and Recreation Commission shall be excluded arhen <br />determining the number of consecutive absences but shall be included when <br />determining percentage of absence. <br />Section 155.04 AFFAIRS AND MEETINGS <br />At the January meeting of each year, the Parks and Recreation Commission <br />shall designate one (1) of its members as Chairman and another as Vice- <br />Chairman, and at that time shall designate the regular meeting dates and <br />place for the year and how said meeting are to commence. <br />
