} ,. <br />/s <br />CITY OF RTH OLMSTED ORDINANCE N0, 71 - 51 PAGE 3 <br />Police Department, excluding Auxilary Police and School Guards, and in the <br />event any fuii time employee of the Police Department is married or is the <br />head of the family the City of North Olmsted shall contribute an additional sum of <br />$100.00 per year towards the cost of a family hospitalization plan with Blue <br />Cross and Medical Mutual, both single persons hospitalization and family <br />hospitalization plans shall be established by Contracts 53YK and 57ZK. <br />G. That all full time employees of the North Olmsted Police <br />Department excluding secretarial and clerical help shall be entitled to cerfiain <br />holidays during the year and shall not be required to work on these holidays, <br />unless scheduled to work by the Chief of Police. In the event the employee <br />works on one of the following holidays, the employee shall receive another day <br />off from work to replace the .holiday he worked. The scheduled holidays are <br />as follows: New Year's Day;. Memorial Day; Independence Day; Labor Day; <br />Thanis~iving Day; Christmas Day; the employee's birthday; and the employee's <br />personal use day, this provision does not apply to Auxilary Police, or <br />School Guards. <br />H. That all full time secretarial and clerical help shall be <br />entitled to certain holidays during the year and shall not be required to work <br />on these holidays, unless scheduled to work by the Chief of Police. In the <br />event the employee works on one of the following holidays, the employee shalt <br />receive another day off from work to replace the holiday she worked. The <br />scheduled holidays are as folows: New Year's Day; Memorial Day; Independence <br />Day; Labor Day; Thanksgiving Day; Christmas Day; the employee's birthday. <br />I. That alt full time employees of the Police Department shall be <br />entitled to an annual vacation in accordance with the following schedule; <br />Two (2) weeks vacation after one (1) year full time service. <br />Three (3) weeks vacation after seven (7) years full time service. <br />Four (4) weeks vacation after fifteen (15) years fuii time service. <br />Section 3. That the employees of the Police Department of the City of <br />North Olmsted be reimbursed, not to exceed $3.00 per day, for per diem expenses <br />while in attendance at the Police Training School established by the Cuyahoga <br />County Commissioners at Western Reserve University, which school is for a two (2) <br />week period with ten (10) days class attendance. <br />Section 4. That all other ordinance or resolutions or parts of <br />ordinances or parts of resolutions, inconsistent herewith to the provisions of this <br />Ordinance, and especially Ordinance No. 70-1b8, enacted October 20, 1970, are <br />hereby repealed with the effective date of this Ordinance. <br />Section 5. That the Clerk of Council be and she is hereby directed to <br />forward a copy of this Ordinance to the Director of Finance in order that the <br />Director can pay the compensation as hereinabove set forth, and a copy of this <br />Ordinance to the Chief of Police. <br />Section 6. That this Ordinance is hereby declared to be an emergency <br />measure necessary for the preservation of the public peace, health, safety and <br />welfare of the City by virtue of the fact of the immediate necessity of adjusting <br />compensation for City employees so as to make such compensation commensurate with <br />the requirement of the various jobs. WHEREFORE, this Ordinance shall take <br />effect and be in force immediately upon its passage, otherwise at the earliest <br />period allowed by law. <br />PASSED :~C,~t,,r,~.G .Z Q <br />ATTEST: <br />Nora T.
