BY:__i~~ CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED ORDINANCE NO. 71-~ AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING THE ORGANIZATIONAL CHART OF THE FIRE DEPARTMENT, SETTING FORTH THE COMPLEMEATT OF THE FIRE DEPARTMENT AND ESTABLISHING THE SALARIES OF THE MEMBERS OF THE FIRE DEPARTMENT WHILE ON DUTY FOR THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED, AND REPEALING .ORDI- NANCE NO. 70-114 , ENACTED JULY 7 , 19 TO ,, AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. WHEREAS,. the Finance Committee of Council has advised Council that it is necessary to increase the salaries and compensations of the members of the Fire Department. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of North Olmsted, State of Ohio : Section 1. That the Organizational Chart of the Fire Department of the City of North Olmsted (Chapter 141, Section 11.02, "Composition and Classi- fication " of the North Olmsted Codified Ordinance) shall read as follows : A. That the Organizational Chart for the Fire Department and the personnel set forth in the Organizational Chart shall consist of ;the Chief of Fire who shall be in charge of the entire Fire Department. B. The Fire Chief shell also be in charge of the General Duty Uniform Roster, which shall consist of ;One (1) Assistant Fire Chief (Fire Prevention Bureau) ;Three (3) Captains ;Four (4) Lieutenants ;Twenty-Five (25) Firemen. C. The Fire Department as constituted herein shall be classified by the Director of Safety, as required by law. Section 2. That retroactive to April 1, 1971, and henceforth, the base salaries of the members of the Fire Department are hereby fixed and determined to be as follows : Fire Chief $14, 726.00 Annually Assistant Fire Chief (Fire Prevention Bureau) $13, 510.00 Annually Captains $12, 395.00 Annually Fire Lieutenants $11 , 372.00 Annually Firemen for First Year $ 8, 638.00 Annually Firemen for Second Year $ 9, 492.00 Annually Firemen after Second Year $10, 433.00 Annually Full time Firemen working for the City of North Olmsted during off duty hours $ 3.42 Per Hour which salaries shall be payable by the Director of Finance semi-monthly. A. Any of the above while assigned to the Fire Prevention Bureau shall be paid additional compensation at the rate of $300.00 annually for all time spent while assigned to the Fire Prevention Bureau. C~-11 in pay to be paid at hourly rate calculated by dividing yearly salary by 2080 hours.
