,,~ <br />70e-136 <br />=10-- <br />after the day on which such delivery shall have been made, the <br />Council shall fix a day for holding a recall election not less <br />than thirty (30) days, nor more than forty-five (45) days from <br />the date of delivery. At such recall election this question <br />shall be placed on the ballot: "Shall (naming the officer) be <br />allowed to continue as (naming the office)?" with provision on <br />the ballot for voting affirmatively or negatively on such ques- <br />tion. If a majority of the votes case shall be voted negatively, <br />then such official shall be considered as removed, his office shall <br />be deemed vacant and such vacancy shall be filled as provided <br />in this Charter. The official removed by such recall election <br />shall not be eligible for appointment to the vacancy created <br />thereby." <br />Section 2. That the foregoing proposed amendments shall become a part of <br />the Charter of the City of North Olmsted upon their approval by a majority of the <br />electors voting thereon. <br />Section 3. That the Clerk of Council is directed to certify a copy of this <br />ordinance to the Board of Elections of Cuyahoga County and to cause copies of said <br />amendments to be mailed to the electors in accordance with Article XVIII, Section <br />9 of the Ohio Constitution. <br />Section 4. That this ordinance is hereby declared to be an emergency <br />measure necessary for the immQediate preservation of the public peace, health <br />and safety of this City for the reason that it is necessary that provision be <br />made for said election at the earliest possible time so that the electors of <br />this City will have the opportunity to vote on said proposed Charter amendments; <br />wherefore, this ordinance shall go into immediate effect upon its passage. <br />PASSED: fi ~~~ <br />ATTEST: <br />Nora T.
