<br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE CODIFIED
<br />ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED
<br />TITLE 3, CHAPTER 121, SECTION 121.01 SUB-
<br />SECTION 13, ENTITLED "STANDING COMMITTEES "
<br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of North
<br />Olmsted, State of Ohio:
<br />Section 1. That the Codified Ordinances of the City of North Olmsted,
<br />Title 3, Chapter 121, Section 121.01 Subsection 13, preseYtly reading as follows:
<br />Standing Committees. Not later than the second meeting of Council after
<br />its organization ,the President of Council shall appoint nine standing committees
<br />of three members each, of whom the first named member shall be chairman. In
<br />the absence of the chairman, a quorum being present, a temporary chairman shall
<br />be selected by a majority vote of the members present who shall preside until the
<br />chairman appears. He shall discharge all the duties and be clothed with all of the
<br />powers of the chairmand,~ring such absence. The names of the committees of the
<br />subject matter which shall be referred to them shall be as follows:
<br />A. Finance, to which shall be referred all ordinances, resolutions
<br />and matter relating to finances, indelatedness, appropriations,
<br />the payment of moneys not provided for by previous legislation,
<br />taxation, and all matters pertaining to the Department of Finance,
<br />the standardization of salaries and wages, civil service, pensioning
<br />of employees and the sale or purchase of real estate .
<br />B. Legislation, to which shall be referred all ordinances, resolutions
<br />and other matters pertaining to County, State , and Federal legis-
<br />lation affecting the City annexations, redistricting, Charter
<br />amendments and all initiative, referendum and recall petitions, all
<br />matters relating to courts, ordinances relating to license, and those
<br />imposing fines, penalties, forfeitures or imprisonment, printing
<br />and advertising.
<br />C. Public Safety, to which shall be referred all ordinances .and reso-
<br />lutions pertaining to police and fire, traffic regulations, smoke
<br />abatement, nuisance ordinances, and concessions upon. public
<br />streets and inspection of buildings, and all matter relating to the
<br />enforcement of the Building Code, housing and slum clearance.
<br />D. Public Health and Welfare, to which shall be referred all ordinances
<br />and resolutions and other matters pertaining to public health, public
<br />charities, direct and work relief, community hospital, and all matters
<br />relating to public welfare, health and sanitation, unemployment,
<br />labor relations and social service.
<br />E. Municipal Development , to which shall be referred all ordinances ,
<br />resolutions and other matters pertaining to street and sewer im-
<br />provements, pipe lines, elimination of grade crossing, street
<br />cleaning, waster collection and disposal matters pertaining to
<br />streets, taxes and assessments relating to sidewalks and street
<br />improvements, and all matters relating to ditches.
