Public Service and Utilities, to which shall be referred all ordinances, <br />resolutions and other matters relating to the City's water supply <br />sewage disposal, street lighting, taxicabe operations and existing <br />or proposed franchises. <br />G. Transportation, to which shall be referred all ordinances, resolutions <br />and other matters pertaining to the operation of the North Olmsted <br />Municipal Bus Line. <br />H. Public Parks, Property and Recreation, to which shall be referred <br />all ordinances, resolutions and other matters pertaining to the <br />operation of public parks, public places, public recreation, play- <br />grounds, public buildings, including City Hall, community house, <br />matters relating to the use of all City property, exclusive of the <br />municipally operated bus system. <br />I. Design and Platting, to which shall be referred all ordinances, <br />resolutions and other matters relating to the planning of proposed <br />subdivisions, matters to be referred to the City Planning Commission <br />and matters relating to action required to be taken on the recom- <br />mendations of the Planning Commission, and all matters relat#ng <br />to zoning. <br />be and the same is hereby amended to read as follows: <br />Section 1. Standing Committees Not later than the second meeting of <br />Council after its organization, the President of Council shall appoint nine standing <br />committees of three members each, of whom the first named member shall be chair- <br />man. In the absence of the chairman, a quorum being present, a temporary chair- <br />man shall be selected by a majority vote of the members present who shall preside <br />until the chairman appears. He shall discharge all the duties and be clathgd with <br />all of the powers of the chairman during such absence. The names of the committees <br />of the subject matter which shall be referred to them shall be as follows: <br />A. Finance, to which shall be referred all ordinances, resolutions and <br />matters relating to finances, indebtedness, appropriations, the pay- <br />ment of moneys not provided for by previous legislation , taxation, <br />and all matters pertaining to the Finance Department, salaries, wages, <br />budgets, negotations, civil service, pensioning of employees, and <br />other benefits such as hospitalization, insurance, etc. , sale or <br />purchase of real estate. After the Administration and Committees have <br />submitted their recommendation for a budget for the forthcoming year <br />and revisions thereto, the Finance Committee will recommend to <br />Council a budget. Finance Committee must approve any recommen- <br />dations for additional moneys or revisions to the budget. <br />B. Transportation , to which shall be referred all ordinances, resolu- <br />tions and all matters pertaining to operation of North Olmsted Bus <br />Lines, traffic lights and traffic flow ;also, all matters pertaining <br />to the provision and use of all city vehicles. In conjunction with <br />Administration the Transportation Committee will submit a budget <br />for the forthcoming year, covering the bus lines and any city vehicles <br />to the Finance Committee for their consideration. After budget is <br />approved this Committee will approve individual projects within the <br />budget for transportation. <br />~~ <br /> <br />
