<br />C. Environmental Control, to which shall be referred all ordinances,
<br />resolutions and all matters pertaining to smoke abatement, insect
<br />control, garbage and trash disposal, sanitary sewers, and all other
<br />matters pertaining to air and water pollution ;also beautification of
<br />the City. In conjunction with City Administration recommend to
<br />Finance Committee a budget for the forthcoming year to carry out
<br />these areas. After budget is approved, this Committee will approve
<br />individual projects within the budget.
<br />D. Intra Governmental Relations and Lecrislation to which shall be re-
<br />ferred all ordinances, resolutions and all matters pertaining to joint
<br />efforts by North Olmsted and other communities with County, State
<br />and Federal Officials, mergers, annexation, charter amendments,
<br />initiative, referendum and recall petitions, courts, licenses, fines,
<br />printing and advertising. This Committee shall also handle appoint-
<br />ments. It will review Mayor's appointments and recommend to
<br />Council. This Committee should watch for and become familiar
<br />with legislation by all government agencies which might affect the
<br />City of North Olmsted ;also, this Committee should be familiar
<br />with projects approved from the County, State and Federal Govern-
<br />ments.
<br />E. Streets and Drainacte, to which shall be referred all ordinances,
<br />resolutions, and all matters pertaining to street maintenance, repairs,
<br />reloction and/or abandonment ;also, all matters pertaining to storm
<br />sewers, ditches, swales, and right-of-way thereof, snow removal,
<br />retention basins, sidewalks, as well as equipment needed for such
<br />operations. In conjunction with City Administration recommend to
<br />Finance Committee budget requirements for the forthcoming year,
<br />including what streets are to be repaired and what ditches are to be
<br />improved and repaired. After budget is approved, this Committee
<br />will approve individual projects within the budget for streets and
<br />drainage.
<br />F. Building, Zoning and Development, to which shall be referred all
<br />ordinances, resolutions, and all matters pertaining to the Building
<br />Department, planning, zoning, platting and new subdivisions ;also,
<br />Building Code, industrial developments, water supply, construction
<br />of new facilities except sewage and storm sewers. This Committee
<br />will also handle all matters pertaining to Engineering Department.
<br />In conjunction with City Administration recommend to Finance Com-
<br />mittee abudget requirement for the forthcoming year. After budget
<br />is approved, this Committee will approve individual projects within
<br />the budget.
<br />G. Public Safety, Health and Welfare, to which shall be referred all
<br />ordinances, resolutions, and all matters pertaining to the Police
<br />and Fire Departments, health, charities, crime and juvenile de-
<br />linquency, relief, hospital, unemployement, social service, in-
<br />spection of buildings for safety and fire prevention, street lights,
<br />and signs, liquor control. In conjunction with City Administration
<br />develop and recommend to Finance Committee budget requirements
<br />for expenditures, and after budget has been approved this Committee
<br />will approve expenditures for these areas being within the approved
<br />budget.
