-2- <br />,234-6-5 and 234-6-6. The form of the option shall be in the form approved <br />by the Director of Law and shall provide for payment to the owners of such <br />parcels of the aggregate of $4,000.00 as consideration for such option agree- <br />ments. <br />Section 4. That the Mayor be and he is hereby authorized and directed <br />to enter into an agreement with Hewitt & Royer, Architects-Engineers, to pro- <br />vide architectural and .engineering services in connection with the Hospital, <br />provided that for the services to be performed by such architects-engineers, <br />no compensation shall be due or payable under such agreement until the City <br />shall have delivered to the purchases thereof its revenue bonds issued for the <br />purpose of providing funds for construction of the Hospital. The agreement <br />with said Hewitt & Royer shall be in substantially the form now on file in the <br />office of the Mayor and as is approved by the Director of Law. <br />Section 5. That the Mayor be and he is hereby authorized and directed <br />to enter into an agreement with McDonald & Company and Associates in substantially <br />the form now on file in the office of the Mayor and as is approved by the Director <br />of Law providing for the purchase by said McDonald & Company and Associates of <br />the revenue bonds of the City issued for the purpose of providing funds for the <br />construction of the Hospital when and if the City should determine to authorize <br />the issuance of said bonds, which bonds shall bear interest at rates and have <br />other terms which are satisfactory both to the City and said McDonald & Company <br />and Associates. <br />Section b. That the Mayor be and he is hereby authorized and directed <br />to enter into an agreement with Ernst & Ernst for the purpose of providing the <br />necessary certified studies which will support the financing of the cost of <br />construction of the Hospital by the issuance of the City's revenue bonds payable <br />solely from revenues derived from the operation and ownership of the Hospital by <br />the City, provided that the contract with Ernst & Ernst shall not be entered into <br />until the City shall have received the surveys of Ross Garrett & Associates <br />supporting the economic feasibility of the Hospital. Such contract with Ernst & <br />Ernst shall provide for the payment to it for its preliminary certified studies <br />of not to exceed $12,000.00. <br />Section 7. That for the purpose of carrying out the authorizations <br />contained in Sections 1, 2, 3 and 6 of this ordinance, there is hereby appro- <br />priated from the General Fund the amount of $10,000.00, and to the extent such <br />appropriation is expended it shall be reimbursed from the proceeds of the revenue <br />bonds issued by the City for construction of the Hospital. <br />Section 8. That this ordinance is hereby determined to be an emergency <br />ordinance the immediate passage of which is necessary for the public peace, <br />health and safety, and for the further reason that work on such program must <br />commence immediately in order to eliminate hazards to the health of the City's <br />residents resulting from the distance to the nearest Hospital, wherefore this <br />ordinance shall take effect and be in force from and immediately after its <br />passage and approval by the Mayor. <br />Passed : '~/ 7`~~`_ <br />Attest: '~ <br />Nora T.
