<br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />ORDINANCE N0. 70-~f <br />By <br />AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING THE ORGANIZATIONAL CHART <br />OF THE FIRE DEPARTMENT, SETTING FORTH THE COMPLE- <br />MENT OF THE FIRE DEPARTMENT AND ESTABLISHING THE <br />SALARIES OF THE MEMBERS OF THE FIRE DEPARTMENT <br />WHILE ON DUTY FOR THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED, AND <br />REPEALING ORDINANCE N0. 70-24, AND DECLARING AN <br />EMERGENCY . <br />WHEREAS, the Finance Committee of Council has advised Council <br />that it is necessary to increase the salaries and compensations of <br />the members of the Fire Department, <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of <br />North Olmsted, State of Ohio: <br />Section 1. That the Organizational Chart for the Fire Depart- <br />ment of the City of North Olmsted (Chapter 141, Section 141.02, <br />"Composition and Classification" of the North Olmsted Codified <br />Ordinance) shall read as follows: <br />A. The Organizational Chart for the Fire Department and the <br />personnel set forth in the Organizational Chart shall consist of, <br />the Chief of Fire who shall be in charge of the entire Fire Department. <br />B. The Fire Chief shall also be in charge of the General Duty <br />Uniform Roster, which shall consist of, One (1) Assistant Fire Chief <br />(Fire Preventional Bureau); Three (3) Captains; Four (4) Lieutenants; <br />Twenty-Five (25) Firemen. <br />C. The Fire Department as constituted herein shall be classified <br />by the Director of Safety, as required by law. <br />Section 2. That effective April 1, <br />base salaries of the members of the Fire <br />and determined to be as follows: <br />1970, and henceforth, the <br />Department are hereby fixed <br />Fire Chief <br />Assistant Fire Chief (Fire <br />Prevention Bureau) <br />Captain <br />Fire Lieutenant <br />Firemen for First Year <br />Firemen for Second Year <br />Firemen after Second Year <br />Part-Time Firemen <br />Full Time Firemen working for <br />the City of North Olmsted <br />during off duty hours <br />$13,500.00 Annually <br />12,280.00 <br />11,370.00 <br />10,530.00 <br />7,488.00 <br />8,000.00 <br />9,750.00 <br />1.75 <br />Annually <br />Annually <br />Annually <br />Annually <br />Annually <br />Annually <br />Per Hour <br />3.20 Per Hour <br />which salaries shall be payable by the Director of Finance semi-monthly. <br />A. Any of the above, with the exception of Part-Time Firemen, <br />shall while assigned to the Fire Prevention Bureau, be paid additional <br />compensation at the rate of $300.00 annually for all time spent while <br />assigned to the Fire Prevention Bureau. <br />B. All full time employees of the Fire Department having com- <br />pleted five (5) years of full time continuous service as employees of <br />said department shall be paid an additional 3y of their base annual <br />
