:. <br />.~~ <br /> <br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />ORDINANCE N0. 70- 1~ Page 2 <br />salary, thereafter until completion of the tenth (10) year of con- <br />tinuous full time service, after which such employee shall receive <br />4% of their base annual salary, thereafter until the completion of <br />the fifteenth (15) year of continuous full time service, and there- <br />after 5% of their base annual salary until the completion of the <br />twentieth (20) year of continuous full time service, and during each <br />year of full time service thereafter they shall receive 6,°6 of their <br />base annual salary as longevity increments. <br />C. In computing length of service for the purpose of making <br />payments of longevity increments hereinabove set forth, no credit <br />shall be given for part-time services, but such limitation is only <br />for the purpose of computing longevity increments and the exclusion <br />for part-time service shall not deprive any employee of any other <br />benefits which may be due for part-time service as employees in the <br />Safety Department. <br />D. In addition to the regular base salary plus increments and <br />other wage increases, all regular employees of the Fire Department, <br />including officers shall on their original appointment and during the <br />first calendar year of their appointment receive $300.00 clothing <br />allowance, and shall during each calendar year thereafter receive a <br />clothing allowance of $200.00 to be determined and disbursed by and <br />with the approval of the Fire Chief of the Department. <br />E. For each full time member of the Fire Department, the City <br />of North Olmsted shall pay an amount equal to a single person's <br />rate per month toward the cost of Bluc Cross Hospitalization and <br />Medical Mutual premium of said members of the Fire Department, as <br />established by Contract 52YS effective the 22nd day of May, 1965. <br />F. That all full time employees of the Fire Department shall be <br />entitled to an annual vacation in accordance with the following <br />schedule; <br />Two (2) weeks vacation after one (1) years full time service <br />Three (3) weeks vacation after seven (7) years full time service <br />Four (4) weeks vacation after fifteen (15) years full time <br />service. <br />Section 3. That all other ordinances or resolutions, or parts <br />of ordinances or parts of resolutions inconsistent herewith to the <br />provisions of this Ordinance, and especially Ordinance No. 70-24, are <br />hereby repealed with the effective date of this Ordinance. <br />Section 4. That the Clerk of Council be and she is hereby directed <br />to forward a copy of this Ordinance to the Director of Finance in <br />order that the Director of Finance can pay the compensation as here- <br />inabove set forth, and a copy to the Fire Chief. <br />Section 5. That this Ordinance is hereby declared to be an <br />emergency measure necessary for the public peace, safety, health and <br />welfare of the City of North Olmsted by virtue of the immediate <br />necessity of maintaining and increasing the morale and effectiveness <br />of members of the Safety Department.
