`~ 4~ ~ ~ ~, <br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />ORDINANCE NO. 70-rZ <br />BY <br />AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING THE ORGANIZATIONAL <br />CHART OF THE FIR£ DEPARTMENT, SETTING FORTH <br />THE COMPLEMENT OF THE FIRE DEPARTMENT AND <br />ESTABLISHING THE SALARIES OF THE 'MEMBERS OF <br />THE FIRE DEPARTMENT WHILE ON DUTY FOR THE <br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED, AND REPEALING ORDI- <br />NANCE NO. 69-57, AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. <br />WHEREAS, the Safety Committee of Council has advised Council the need <br />for additional Firemen to adequately serve the City of North Olmsted ;and <br />WHEREAS, the Finance Committee of Council has advised Council that it <br />is necessary to increase the salaries and compensations of the members of the <br />Fire Department. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of North <br />Olmsted, State of Ohio ; <br />Section 1. That the Organizational Chart for the Fire Department of the <br />City of North Olmsted (Chapter 141, Section 141.02 , " Composition and Classi- <br />fication " of the North Olmsted Codified Ordinance) shall read as follows: <br />A. The Organizational Chart for the Fire Department and the personnel set <br />forth in the Organizational Chart shall consist of, the Chief of Fire who shall be <br />in charge of the entire Fire Department. <br />B. The Fire Chief shall also be in charge of the General Duty Uniform <br />Roster, which shall consist of, One (1) Assistant Fire Chief, (Fire Prevention <br />Bureau) ;Three (3) Captains ;Four (4) Lieutenants ;Twenty-Five (25) Fire- <br />men. <br />C. The Fire Department as constituted herein shall be classified by the <br />Director of Safety, as required by law. <br />Section 2. That effective February 1, 1970, and henceforth, the base <br />salaries of the members of the Fire Department are hereby fixed and determined to <br />be as follows: <br />Fire Chief <br />Assistant Fire Chief (Fire Prevention <br />Bureau ) <br />Captain <br />Fire Lieutenant <br />Firemen for First Year <br />Firemen for Second Year <br />Firemen after Second Year <br />Part-Time Firemen <br />Full Time Firemen working for the <br />~,lity of North Olmsted during off <br />duty hours <br />$11, 800.00 Annually <br />$10, 670.00 Annually <br />$10 ,100.00 Annually <br />$ 9, 650.00 Annually <br />$ 7, 488.00 Annually <br />$ 8, 000.00 Annually <br />$ 9, 000.00 Annually <br />$ 1.75 Per Hour <br />$ 3.20 Per~iour <br />which salaries shall be payable by the Director ofFinance Semi-Monthly. <br />
