Ail full time employees of the Fire Department having completed five (5) years of full time continuous service as employees of said department shall be paid an additional 3~ of their base annual salary, thereafter until completion of the tenth (10) year of continuous full time service, after which such employee shall receive 4% of their base annual salary, thereafter until the completion of the fifteenth (15) year of continuous full time service, and thereafter 5% of their base annual salary until the completion of the twentieth (20) year of continuous full time service, and during each year of full time service thereafter they shalt receive 6% of their base annual salary as longevity increments. B. In computing length of service for the purpose of making payments of longevity increments hereinabove set forth, no credit shall be given for part-time services, but such limitation is only for the purpose of computing longevity incre- ments and the exclusion for part-time service shall not deprive any employee of any other benefits which may be due for part-time service as employees in the Safety Department. C. In addition to the regular base salary plus increments and other wage increases, all regular employees of the Fire Department, including officers shall on their original appointment and during the first calendar year of their appointment receive $300.00 clothing allowance ,and shall during each calendar year there- after receive a clothing allowance of $200.00 to be determined and disbursed by and with the approval of the Fire Chief of the Department. D. For each full time member of the Fire Department, the City of North Olmsted shall pay an amount equal to a single person's rate per month towards the cost of Blue Cross Hospitalization and Medical Mutual premium of said members of the Fire Department, as established by Contract 52YS effective the 22nd day of May, 196~i. E. That all full time employees of the Fire Department shall be entitled to an annual vacation in accordance with the following schedule Two (2) weeks vacation after one (1) years full time service Three (3) weeks vacatian after seven (7) years full time service Four (4) weeks vacation after fifteen (15) years full time service. Section 3. That all other ordinances or resolutions, or parts of ordinances or parts of resolutions inconsistent herewith to the provisions of this Ordinance, and especially Ordinance No. 69-57,are hereby repealed with the effective date of this Ordinance. Section 4. That the Clerk of Council be and she is hereby directed to forward a copy of this Ordinance to the Director of Finance in order that the Director of Finance can pay the compensation as hereinabove set forth ,and a copy to the Fire Chief. Section 5. That this Ordinance is hereby declared to be an emergency measure necessary for the public peace, safety, health and welfare of the City of North Olmsted by virtue of the immediate necessity of maintaining and increasing the moral and effectiveness of members of the Safety Department. WHEREFORE, this Ordinance shall take effect and be in force immediately upon its passage, otherwise, at the earliest period allowed by law. PASSED: ~~4 ATTEST: /~~ - Nora T.
