0 <br />er ~. <br />CITY OF NORTH OLI~STED <br />ORDINANCE N0. 73- ~~~ <br />,: <br />AN ORDINANCE APPROVING A MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING <br />WITH TIIE AD'tERICAN FEDERATION OF STATE, COUNTY AND <br />MUNICIPAL EMPLOYEES, ESTABLISHING THE REMUNERATION <br />FOR CERTAIN EMPLOYEES IN THE PUBLIC WORKS DIVISIOIT <br />OF THE DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC SERVICE OF THE CITY OF <br />NORTH OLMSTED, AND REPEALING IN PART CERTAIN PORTIONS <br />OF ORDINANCE N0. 73-73, ENACTED JULY 17, 1973, AND <br />ORDINANCE N0. 73-7k, ENACTED JULY 17, 1973, AND DE- <br />CLARING AN EP~RGENCY. <br />WHEREAS, discussians have been conducted on behalf of the City <br />with representatives of the American Federation of State, County and <br />Municipal Employees with respect to the compensation and other condi- <br />tions of employment of certain employees in the Public Works Division <br />of the Department of Public Service of the City of North Olmsted; and, <br />WHEREAS, understandings have been reached in the course of said <br />discussions with respect to the compensation and other conditions of <br />employment of the employees aforementioned. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of <br />North Olmsted, State of Ohio: <br />Section 1. That the Memorandum of Understanding with the American <br />Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees, attached hereto and <br />made a part hereof as though fully incorporated herein, is hereby adopted, <br />ratified and approved and the Mayor is hereby authorized and directed to <br />affix his signature thereto for and on behalf of the City. <br />Section 2. That all other ordinances or resolutions or parts of <br />ordinances or parts of resolutions inconsistent herewith to the provi- <br />sions of this ordinance and especially Ordinance No. 73-73 and Ordinance <br />No. 73-71+, each enacted on the 17th day of July, 1973, are hereby repealed <br />with the effective date of this ordinance to the extent that they pertain <br />to employees in the bargaining unit covered by the Memorandum of Under- <br />standing and are inconsistent with this ordinance including the Memorandum <br />of Understanding attached hereto and made a part hereof. <br />Section 3. That the Clerk of Council is hereby instructed to forward <br />a copy of this ordinance to the Director of Public Service and to the <br />Director of Finance in order that the Director of Finance can pay the com- <br />pensation authorized by this ordinance and the Pemorandum of Understanding <br />attached hereto and made a part hereof. <br />Section 4. That this Ordinance is hereby declared to be an emergency <br />measure necessary for the preservation of the public peace, health, safety <br />and welfare of the City by virtue of the fact of the immediate necessity <br />of ad3usting to the requirements of the various fobs.
