E~' BROOBPARR RQAD BY PUR- <br />CHASIlOG, APPROPRIATI~'r OR OTHN,RW:CSE ACQtTIR]~# THE <br />REAL ESTATE REQUIRED THER~'OR, Al'0D DECLARIl~ AN <br />EMERGE[~Ci' . <br />WHEREAS, the substantial development and improvement of Property in <br />the area of the City of l~rth Olmsted in the vicinity of Brookpark Road - <br />Lorain Road intersection has caused a marked increase in traffic conges- <br />tion in such area, thereby requiring, in the ~udgetent of this Council, <br />that iamiediate provision be made for the opening as a public street of an <br />extension of Brookpark Road as hereinafter described to promote the free <br />floe of traffic, the effective fighting of fixes and the expeditious s~re- <br />ment of the police force and further creating an imsediate need for im- <br />provennent of such extension of Brookpark Road by grading, draining, cart- <br />ing and paving; and <br />WH~EAS, the Planning Cosmission of this City at a ffieeting du]y <br />called and held on Au st 28 , 1973 has recoamended to this Council <br />that such extension v zno ~`r "~ d be opened for public use, and, by <br />reason of the foregoing, it is essential that this Council provide by oxdi- <br />nance for such opening as a public impxovement of the City of north Olassted; <br />NCyFT, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAIlQED by the Council of the City of forth <br />Olmsted, State of Ohio: <br />Section 1. That this Council hereby approved the reco~aendation of <br />the Planning Cosmi.ss3.on of the City hereinbefore referred to anal deter- <br />mines that it is necessary to open, and that there shall be opened, as a <br />public street and for public use an extension of Brookpark Road described <br />generally as extending Trait the present easterly terminus of the Brookpark <br />Road Extension (84 feet wide) as recorded on a dedication plat in Volume <br />210, Page 72 of Cuyahoga County Map Records, thence continuing easterly <br />and southerly approximately 472 feet to Lorain Road, and more particularly <br />described as follows: <br />Situated in the City of North Olmsted, County of Cuyahoga and <br />State of Ohio and known as being part of Original Dover Township, <br />Lot No. 6 and part of Original Olmsted Township, Lot No. 22, Tract <br />No. 6 and bounded and described as follows: <br />Comatencing in the intersection of the center line of Broolepark <br />Road (160 feet wide) with the center line of Lorain Road (80 feet <br />wide); Thence South 68° 13' 23" West a distance of 88.64 feet to <br />an iron pin at the point of intersection of a curve connecting the <br />old center line with the Herr center line of Lorain Road; Thence <br />South 65° 59' 43" West along a tangent a distance of 73.53 feet to <br />the place of beginning; Thence North 13° 09' 46" West slang the <br />Westerly line of a parcel of land conveyed to The Marathon Finance <br />Company by deed as recorded in Volume 10313, Page 405 of Cuyahoga <br />County Deed Records a distance of 200.72 feet to a point; Thence <br />South 68° 00' 33" West along the prolongation of Northerly line of <br />said The Marathon Finance Company parcel a distance of 32.98 feet <br />to a point of curvature; Thence 372.63 feet along the arc of a <br />curve deflecting to the left and having a radius of 4~0.OO feet, <br />a chord distance of 361.59 feet that bears North 5$° 33' 18" West <br />
