~;,. <br />r <br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />r <br />i , ,' <br />ORDINANCE NO. 73-~~ PAGE 2 <br />Section 3: The compensation for new employees shall be paid at the <br />rate of $4680, annually, unless the employee has previous experience which <br />warrants a higher starting wage. <br />Section 4:: A11 full time Secretaries and Clerical Assistants shall be <br />paid on a salary basis. These shall be payable by Finance Director bi-weekly. <br />Section 5: The secretarial and clerical help of the City of North <br />Olmsted shall receive, as longevity increment, the sum of $25. 00. This <br />longevity increment shall be payable over and above any annual salary paid <br />to secretary and clerical (full time) at the rate of $25. 00 for each and every <br />year said secretary or clerical help has been continually employed by the <br />City of North Olmsted, and said sum shall be paid on each anniversary date <br />of employment. <br />Section 6: That the employees shall not be required to work the following <br />holidays, unless requested to work by their supervisor in an emergency: New <br />Year's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, <br />Christmas Day, Presidents' Day and the employee's birthday. <br />Section 7: That all fulltime employees shall be entitled to an annual <br />vacation in accordance with the following schedule: <br />Two (2) weeks vacation after one (1) year full time service <br />Three (3) weeks vacation after seven (7) years full time service <br />Four (4) weeks vacation after fifteen (15) years full time service <br />Section 8: The City of North Olmsted shall contribute a single person's <br />rate toward the purchase of hospitalization with the Blue Cross and Medical <br />Mutual Hospitalization Plans, or with the Kaiser Community Health Foundation <br />Plan for all secretarial and clerical employees of the City of North Olmsted. <br />Section 9: That the Clerk of Council is hereby instructed to forward a <br />copy of this Ordinance to all department heads and the Director of Finance for <br />payment of remuneration, as set forth above, immediately upon its passage. <br />Section 10: That this Ordinance is hereby declared to be an emergency <br />measure necessary for the preservation of the public peace, health, safety, and <br />welfare by virtue of the fact that the Finance Department can compute pay raises <br />at the same time for all departments. WHEREFORE, this Ordinance shall take <br />effect and be in force immediately upon its passage, otherwise, at the earliest <br />period allowed by law. <br />PASSED: ~_ <br />A.TTE5T: <br />Nora T.
