~;,. r CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED r i , ,' ORDINANCE NO. 73-~~ PAGE 2 Section 3: The compensation for new employees shall be paid at the rate of $4680, annually, unless the employee has previous experience which warrants a higher starting wage. Section 4:: A11 full time Secretaries and Clerical Assistants shall be paid on a salary basis. These shall be payable by Finance Director bi-weekly. Section 5: The secretarial and clerical help of the City of North Olmsted shall receive, as longevity increment, the sum of $25. 00. This longevity increment shall be payable over and above any annual salary paid to secretary and clerical (full time) at the rate of $25. 00 for each and every year said secretary or clerical help has been continually employed by the City of North Olmsted, and said sum shall be paid on each anniversary date of employment. Section 6: That the employees shall not be required to work the following holidays, unless requested to work by their supervisor in an emergency: New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, Presidents' Day and the employee's birthday. Section 7: That all fulltime employees shall be entitled to an annual vacation in accordance with the following schedule: Two (2) weeks vacation after one (1) year full time service Three (3) weeks vacation after seven (7) years full time service Four (4) weeks vacation after fifteen (15) years full time service Section 8: The City of North Olmsted shall contribute a single person's rate toward the purchase of hospitalization with the Blue Cross and Medical Mutual Hospitalization Plans, or with the Kaiser Community Health Foundation Plan for all secretarial and clerical employees of the City of North Olmsted. Section 9: That the Clerk of Council is hereby instructed to forward a copy of this Ordinance to all department heads and the Director of Finance for payment of remuneration, as set forth above, immediately upon its passage. Section 10: That this Ordinance is hereby declared to be an emergency measure necessary for the preservation of the public peace, health, safety, and welfare by virtue of the fact that the Finance Department can compute pay raises at the same time for all departments. WHEREFORE, this Ordinance shall take effect and be in force immediately upon its passage, otherwise, at the earliest period allowed by law. PASSED: ~_ A.TTE5T: Nora T.
