WHEREAS, Council has established the Organizational Chart for the Building Department into a separate ordinance setting forth the personnel needed; and WHEREAS, Council wishes to set forth the compensation to be paid to the employees of the Building Department; and WHEREAS, the establishing of an Organizational Chart together with the salaries to be paid will assist the Director of Finance in paying the remuneration established to the employees of the Building Department. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of North Olmsted, State of Ohio; Section 1. That the Complement of the Building Department is hereby es- tablished and set forth as follows: Building Commissioner Chief Inspector Building Inspectors (2) Sewer & Plumbing Inspectors Electrical Inspector (part-time) Heating & Ventilating Inspector Architectural Consultant (contract) Secretary to Building Commissioner Clerk Clerk (part-time as needed) Inspectors (part-time as needed) Section 2. That retroactive to January 1, 1973, the remuneration to be paid to employees of the Building Department shall be as follows: Building Commissioner $12,000.00 to $17,000.00 Annually Chief Inspector 9,000.00 to .13,000.00 Annually Building Inspectors 8,000.0 to 12,000.00 Annually Sewer & Plumbing Inspectors 8,000.00 to 12,000.00 Annually Electrical Inspector (part-time) 4,000.00 to 6,500.00 Annually Heat. & Vent. Inspector 8,000.00 to 12,000.00 Annually Architectural Consultant up to 5,200.00 Annually Sewer & Plumbing Inspector (part time) 4.40 to 6.00 per hour which salaries shall be payable by the Director of Finance bi-weekly. Section 3. That excluding secretarial and clerical employees, that all full time employees of_ the Building Department having completed five (5) years of full time continuous service, as employees of said department, shall be paid an additional 3% of their base annual salary, thereafter until completion of ten (10) years full time continuous service, after which such employee shall receive 4% of their base annual salary, thereafter until the completion of the fifteenth (15) year of continuous full time service, and thereafter 5% of their base annual salary until after the completion of the twentieth (20) year of continuous full time service, and during each year of full time service thereafter they shall receive 6% of their base annual salary as longevity increments. ,.~,,. .._. ,...,_r,...
