U CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED ORDINANCE N0. 73- ~p ~ PAGE 2 Section 4. In computing length of service for the purpose of making payments of longevity increments hereinabove set forth, no credit shall be given for part-time services, but such limitation is only for the purpose of computing longevity increments, and the exclusion for part-time service shall not deprive any employee of any other benefits which may be due them for part-time service, as employees of the Building Department. Section 5. That the employees of the Building Department shall not be required to work the following holidays, unless requested to work by the Building Commissioner in an emergency: New Year's Day; Memorial Day; Independence Day; Labor Day; Thanksgiving Day; Christmas Day; the employee's birthday; Presidents' Day. Section 6. That all full time employees of the Building Department shall be entitled to an annual vacation in accordance with the following schedule: Two (2) weeks vacation after one (1) year full time service. Three (3) weeks vacation after seven (7) years full time service. Four (4) weeks vacation after fifteen (15) years full time service. Section 7. That for the Building Commissioner and for each full time Inspector of the Building Department, the City of North Olmsted shall pay the full amount single persons rate, of the hospitalization cost for unmarried full time employees of the Building Department, and in the event the Commissioner of Inspectors, who are full time employees of the Building Department, are married or are the head of the family the City of North Olmsted shall contribute an addi- tional sum of $350.00 per year towards the cost of a family hospitalization plan with Blue Cross and Medical Mutual or with the Kaiser Community Foundation Plan. Section 8. That any other ordinances, or resolutions, or parts of ordinances, or parts of resolutions, inconsistent herewith to the provisions of this Ordinance, and especially Ordinance No. 72-105, enacted July 5, 1972, are hereby repealed with the effective date of this Ordinance. Section 9. That the Clerk of Council is hereby instructed to forward a copy of this Ordinance to the Building Commissioner and the Director of Finance for the payment of remuneration, as set forth above, immediately upon its passage. Section 10. That this Ordinance is hereby declared to be an emergency measure necessary for the preservation of the public peace, health, safety and welfare of the City by virtue of the fact that the Finance Department can compute pay raises at the same time for all Departments. WHEREFORE, this Ordinance shall take effect and be in force immediately upon its passage, otherwise, at the earliest period allowed by law. PASSED: ~~.~ - ATTEST: v ~ ~~ Nora T.
