<br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />ORDINANCE N0. 73- 59 <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING COMPENSATION TO BE PAID TO <br />THE MAINTENANCE EMPLOYEES OF THE NORTH OLMSTED 24UNI- <br />CIPAL BUS LINE, AND REPEALING ORDINANCE N0. 72-84 <br />ENACTED JUNE 6, 1972. <br />WHEREAS, the Transportation Committee and the Finance Committee <br />have recommended an adjustment in the pay rate of the maintenance employees <br />of the North Olmsted Municipal Bus Line, and <br />WHEREAS, Council is desirous of making an adjustment in the com- <br />pensation for maintenance employees of the North Olmsted Municipal Bus <br />Line, <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of <br />North Olmsted, State of Ohio: <br />Section 1. That retroactive to January 1, 1973 employees hold- <br />ing the following positions in the employ of the North Olmsted Municipal <br />Bus Line shall be paid the salaries and wages as hereinafter determined: <br />General Manager $ 10,700.00 to $13,546.00 annually <br />Superintendent 9,630.00 to 12,417.00 annually <br />Supervisor of Operations 8,560.00 to 11,362.00 annually <br />Supervisor of Maintenance 8,560.00 to 11,362.00 annually <br />Equipment Mechanic 3.48 to 4.85 per hour <br />Equipment Serviceman 2.94 to 4.10 per hour <br />Extra Labor 1.61 to 3.25 per hour <br />Secretary 4,280.00 to 5,644.00 annually <br />which salaries shall be payable by the Director of Finance bi-weekly. <br />A. That excluding secretarial and clerical employees and retro- <br />active to March 1, 1972, all full time employees of the North Olmsted <br />Municipal Bus Line having completed five (5) years of full time continuous <br />service as employees of said bus line shall be paid an additional 3% of <br />their base annual salary until they have completed their tenth (10) year <br />of continuous full time service. After completing their tenth (10) year <br />and prior to completion of their fifteenth (15) year of continuous full <br />time service they shall be paid 4% of their base annual salary, After <br />completion of their fifteenth (15) year and prior to completion of their <br />twentieth (20) year of continuous full time service they shall be paid 5,,°0 <br />of their base annual salary. After completion of their twentieth (20) <br />year of continuous full time service and thereafter they shall be paid <br />6% of their base annual salary. These payments shall be longevity incre- <br />ments and shall be paid and computed by the Finance Department of the <br />City of North Olmsted, Ohio. <br />B. In computing length of service for the purpose of making <br />payments of longevity increments hereinabove set forth, no credit shall be <br />given for part-time services, but such limitation is only for the purpose <br />of computing longevity increments and the exclusion for part-tame service <br />shall not depYive any employee of any other benefits which may be due them <br />for part-time service as employees in the Nr3rth Olmsted Municipal Bus Line. <br />B-1. The secretarial and clerical help of the Municipal Bus Line <br />of the City of North Olmsted shall receive, as a longevity increment, the <br />sum of $25.00. This longevity increment shall be payable over and above <br />any annual salary or hourly salary paid to said secretary or clerical <br />help, and shall be at the rate of $25.00 for each and every year said <br />secretary or clerical help has been continually employed by the City of <br />c~orth Olmsted.
