That Section 1711.03, Chapter 1711 (Codified Ordinances <br />of the City of North Olmsted reading as follows is hereby repealed in its entirety <br />1711.03 OPEN BONFIRES. <br />'The owner or occupier of land may, between the hours of sunrise <br />and sunset, burn leaves, paper and other refuse in an open bonfire <br />upon his own property, provided such bonfire is at least fifty feet <br />from any building=.~+nn;tstructure and is attended by a competent person <br />at least fifteen years of age who must be continuously present while <br />such bonfire is burning. Smoke, embers and ashers shall be confined <br />to the premises of the owner or occupier of such lands so as not to <br />constitute a nuisance to adjoining, abutting or neighboring properties, <br />lands or structures thereon. " <br />Section 4. That Section 1711.04, Chapter 1711 (Codified Ordinances) of the <br />City of North Olmsted reading as follows is hereby repealed in ifs entirety <br />1711.04 ORE~ER TO DESIST. <br />" In the event the Fire Chief deems it unsafe to permit any fire and <br />so notifies the owner or occupier of the premises, such owner or <br />occupier shall desist from causing such fire. " <br />Section 5. That Section 1711.05, Chapter 1711 (Codified Ordinances) of the <br />City of North Olmsted reading as follows is hereby repealed in its entirety : <br />1711.05 GRASS OR FIELD FIRES. <br />" No person shall start or cause to be started any grass or field fires <br />in the City without first obtaining the consent of the Fire Chief. " <br />Section 5. That 8~y Ordinance or parts of Ordinances, or resolutions or <br />parts of Resolutions, inconsistent with the provisions of this Ordinance are here- <br />by repealed with the effective date of this Ordinance. <br />Section 6. That this Ordinance is h+e~eby declared to be any emergency <br />measure necessary for the immediate preservation of the public peace, safety, <br />health and welfare by virtue of the fact that it is immediately necessary to comply <br />with the directives of the Environmental Protection Agency regarding air pollutio~a,. <br />WHEREFORE, this Ordinance shall take effect and be in force immediately upon its <br />passage, otherwise, at the earliest period allowed by law. <br />PASSED: <br />ATTEST: <br />t.~ <br />Nora T.
