G <br />r: ~, a y- <br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />ORDINANCE NO. 73- ~~ <br />Y'~ <br />.i, <br />AN ORDINANCE ESTAk3LISHING THE ORGANIZATION <br />AND GOMPOSTTION OF THE POLICE DEPARTMENT <br />OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED : ESTA$LISHING <br />SALARIES OF THE MEMBERS OF THE POLICE DE- <br />PARTMENT WHILE ON DUTY FOR THE CITY OF NORTH <br />OLMSTED : ESTABLISHING THE PER DIEM ALLOWANCE <br />TO BE PAID TO THE POLICE EMPLOYEES WHILE AT- <br />TENDING THE POLICE SCHOOL, AND REPEALING <br />ORDINANCE NO. 72-104, ENACTED JULY ~, 1972. <br />WHEREAS, the Finance Committee of Council has advised Council that it <br />is necessary to increase the salaries and compensations of the members of the <br />Police Department . <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of North <br />Olmsted, State of Ohio : <br />Section 1. That the Organizational Chart for the Police impartment of the <br />City of North Olmsted (Chapter I39, Section 139.02 "Composition and C3assi- <br />fications " of the North Olmsted Codified Ordinances) shall read as follows : <br />A. The Organizational Chart for the Police Department and the <br />personnel set forth in the Organizational Chart shall consist of the Chief of <br />Police who shall be in charge of the entire Police Department. <br />B. The Chief of Police shall also be in charge of ,One (). )_ <br />Secretary , Two (2) Clerks ,and other civilian non-police personnel as are <br />authorized ,from time to time, by Council of the City of North Olmsted. <br />C. The Chief of Police shall also be in charge of the General <br />Duty Uniform Roster, which shall consist of, Two (2) Captains, Three (3 ) <br />Lieutenants, Four (4) Sergeants, Twenty-Eight (28) Patrolmen, Twenty-Five <br />( 25) Auxiliary Police, Fourteen (14) School Guards, and One (I) Police Matron, <br />part-time . <br />D. The Chief of Police shall also be in charge of a Detective Bureau <br />consisting of Five (S) of the Police Personnel mentioned in Section 1, C above. <br />fine (I 1 member of the Detective Bureau shall serve as the Juvenile Officer of the <br />North Olmsted Police Department. <br />E. The Police Department as constituted herein shall be classified <br />by the Director of Putiiic Safety, as required by law. <br />Section 2. That retroactive to January 1, 1973, and henceā¬orth, the base <br />salaries of the members of the Police Department are hereby fixed and determined <br />to be as follows : <br />Chief of Police $I6, 202.00 Annually <br />Captains $14, 864.00 Annually <br />Lieutenants of Police $13, 637.00 Annually <br />Sergeants $12, SI1 .00 Annually <br />
