Form No. 1097 <br />The meeting was called to order by the President, Dr. Peck, with the <br />following members present: <br />Eugene C. Barkhurst <br />Warren W. Blakely <br />Helen C. McCollough <br />Clark W. Peck <br />Donald B. Walters <br />Also present were: Dr. Van Auken, Mr. Storch, Mr. Kraps, Mr. Closson <br />and <br />Minutes of the meeting held on October 22, 1973 approved as published. <br />Mr. Barkhurst moved, Mr. Blakely seconded that: <br />.... the Board of Education approve the following resolution: <br />at No. Olmsted Junior High School at 8:00 o~clock p.m.,ll/1219 73 <br />A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE PRESIDENT TO ENTER INTO AN <br />AGREEMENT WITH THE CITY OF' NORTH OLMSTED FOR THE TRANS- <br />FER OF LAND ' <br />WHEREAS, the North Olmsted Board of Education has <br />hereto fore indicated its desire to transfer land to <br />the, City of North Olmsted for the use of the residents <br />of the City of North Olmsted as joint recreation and <br />playground areas; (joint agreements dated 12 April 1965 <br />and 20 September 1966); and <br />WHEREAS, the City of North Olmsted now desires to make <br />a commitment of $125,000to develop parks and. recreation <br />areas throughout the City and to apply to the Federal <br />Government. for matching funds equal to this commitment. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, be it resolved by the North Olmsted <br />Board of Education: <br />Section l: The President is hereby authorized to enter <br />into a contract with the City of .North Olmsted for the <br />transfer of land from the North Olmsted Board of Educa- <br />tion to the City of North Olmsted for the establishment <br />of joint recreation-playground areas and is further <br />authorized to accept all deeds, easements and instru- <br />ments of conveyance on .behalf of the North Olmsted Board <br />of Education and to do anything necessary to carry out. <br />the terms of the contract. <br />Section 2: This Resolution shall take effect and be in <br />force on the date this Resolution is approved by the <br />.North Olmsted Board of Education. <br />298. <br />Transfer of L <br />Agreement <br />Vote on the motion was: Mr, Barkhurst, aye; Mr. Blakely, aye; <br />Mrs. .McCollough, aye; Dr. Peck, aye; Dr. Walters, aye. <br />Motion adopted. <br />
