CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED ORDIIVANCE IVO. 68- jC141 PAGE 2 <br />713.03 License Reauired and Fee <br />No person shall let, rent or lease for occupancy, either as owner, <br />lessor, agent, or attorney, an apartment unit or units within the <br />City of North 0lmsted without first having obtained a license from <br />the Building Department of the City of North Olmsted. The license <br />shall be renewable on january lst of each and every year thereafter <br />during the period of occupancy. <br />The fee €or said license shall be Ten Dollars ($10.00 ) plus an ad- <br />ditional Two Dollars and fifty cents ($2.50 ) for each individual <br />dwelling unit to be occupied. <br />713.04 Application for License <br />( a ) New Construction <br />Application for licenses shall be obteinted from the Building Department <br />at the time a building permit is issued for construction of said apartment. <br />The application shall be retumed to the Building Commissioner with the <br />required license fees before.-ja certificate of occupancy is issued. <br />( b ) Existinq Apartments <br />Applications for presently existing apartments at the time of passage <br />of this Ordinance shall be obtained from the :_BU#td#u%.?brMptssfoner <br />before February, 1969. <br />713 . 05 Inspections <br />The Building Commissioner, or his agent, the Fire Chief, or his agent, <br />prior to the issuance of a license, or any renewal thereof, shall .Make <br />an inspection of the premises to ascertain that there are no violations <br />of the Ordinances of the City of North Olmsted, the Fire Prevention <br />Code of the City of North Olmsted, or the Statutes of the State of Ohio. <br />A license shall not be issued or renewed by the Building Commissioner <br />until he has received areport from the Fire Chiefi that no violation of <br />the Fire Prevention Code exists or until any violation found on the <br />premises has been corrected. <br />713.06 Construction or Repair Permit • Application and Approval. <br />( a) Before commencing or proceeding with the erection, construction <br />alteration or repair of any building or structure to be used as an <br />apartment houses, rental dwelling, rooming houses, dormitories and <br />accessory sleeping quarters for non-transients , or any part thereof, <br />a permit therefor shall first be obtained by the owner of his agent or <br />architect from the Building Commissioner. It shall be unkawful fio <br />commence or proceed with any such work unless such permit shall <br />first have been obtained. <br />( b) Application for such permit shall be made in writing to the <br />Building Commissioner by the owner oc his agent or architect. Such <br />application shall be accompanied by the plans and drawings and com- <br />plete information of the buildings and a satisfactory estimate of cost <br />for which such application for permit is made, marked thereon.
