<br />? <br />CITY OF NGRTH OLMSTED <br />ORDINANCE N0. 68-157 <br />PAGE 2 <br />B. In computing length of service for the purpose of making payments <br />of longvity increments hereinabove set forth, no credit shall be given for part- <br />time services, but such limitation is only for the purpose of computing longevity <br />increments and the exclusion for part-time service shall not deprive any employee <br />in the Engineering Department. <br />Section 3. That all full time employees of the Engineering Depart- <br />ment shall not be required to work on the following holidays: New Years Day; <br />Memorial Day; Independence Day; Labor Day; Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day, <br />unless requested to work by the Mayor in emergencies. <br />Section 4. That the Clerk of Council is hereby directed to forward <br />a copy of this Ordinance to the Finance Director immediately upon its passage. <br />Section S. That any ordinance or resolution or parts of ordinances <br />or parts of resolutions, inconsistant herewith, and especially Ordinance No. <br />68-15 are repealed concnrrently with the effective date of this Ordinance. <br />Section 6. That this Ordinance is hereby declared to be an emer- <br />gency measure necessary for the preservation of the public peace, health, safety <br />and welfare of the City by virtue of the fact of the immediate necessity of ad- <br />justing compensation for City employees so as to make such compensation commen- <br />surate with the requirement of the various jobs. WHEREFORE, this Ordinance shall <br />take effect and be inforce immediately upon its passage, otherwise at the earliest <br />period allowed by law. <br />PASSED: &, <br />ATTEST: <br />2x?
