CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED ORDINANCE NO. 68- 14f BY AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION I OF ORDINANCE NO. 67-210 ENACTED SEPTEMBER 5, 1967, AS AMENDED BY ORDINANCE NO. 63- 206 ENACTED OCTOBER 1, 1968, AS AMENDED BY ORDINANCE NO. 65- 244 ENACTED OCTOBER 5, 1965, AS AMENDED BY ORDINANCE NO. 66- 118 ENACTED MAY 4, 1966, AS AMENDED BY ORDINANCE NO. 67-209 ENACTED AUGUST 15, 1967, ESTABLISHING COMPENSATION FOR BUS DRIVERS OF THE NORTH OLMSTED MUNICIPAL BUS LINE, AND DE- CLARING AN EMERGENCY. WHEREAS, THE Finance Committee has recommended an adjustment in the pay rate of the North Olmsted Municipal Bus Line ; and WHEREAS, Council is desirous of making an adjustment in the compen- sation for bus drivers of the North Olmsted Municipal Bus Line. NOW, THEREFORP, BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of North Olmsted, St,ate of Ohio : Section 1. That Section 1 of Ordinance No. 67-210 enacted September 5, 1967, as amended by Ordinance No 63-206 enacted October 1, 1963, as amended by Ordinance No. 65-244 enacted October 5, 1965, as amended by Ordinance No. 66-118 enacted May 4, 1966, as amended by Ordinance No. 67-209 enacted August 15, 1967, presently reading as follows: ' " Section 1. That effective July 1, 1967, compensation for bus drivers of the North Olmsted Municipal Bus Line shall be as follows: ( a) Any person employed as a bus driver with no previous ex- perience or with insufficient prior experience as a driver ar operator of a public passenger bus shall be required to serve one year as an apprentice. During such year such driver shall be paid, during the first three mbnths of his apprenticeship, $2. 70 per hour ; during the second three months of his apprenticeship, $2. 75 per hour; during the third three months of his apprentice- ship ,$2. 80 per hour ; and for the final three months of his ap- prenticeship $2. 85 per hour. After having completed his one year apprenticeship he shall be paid as provided in Paragraph ( b 1 herein. ( b) All bus drivers other than apprentices ( as set forth in Paragraph ( a) herein shall be paid at the rate of $3.00 per hour. ( c) That there shall be allowed to each bus driver the sum of $65. 00 per year for the acquisition of uniforms to be worn while operating a bus for the North Olmsted Munidipal Bus Line. ( d) That upon the appointmert.of a new bus driver he shall be allowed the sum of $75.00 for uniforms and accessories for the first year and $65.00 per year after the completion of the first year of such appointment. be and the same is hereby amended to read as follows: Section 1.
