CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED ORDINANCE NO. 68- PAGE 2 <br />such driver shall be paid, during the first three months of his apprenticeship, <br />$2. 70 per hour ; during the second three months of his apprenticeship, $2. 75 <br />per hour ; during the third three months of his apprenticeship, $2. 80 per hour ; <br />and for the final three months of his apprenticeship, $2. 85 per hour. After hav- <br />ing completed his one year apprenticeship he shall be paid as provided in Para- <br />graph ( a ) herein. <br />A. All bus drivers other than apprentices ( as set forth in Paragraph 1) <br />hemin shall be paid at the rate of $3. 00 per hourT. <br />B. That excluding secretarial and clerical employees and retroactive to <br />September 1, 1968, all full time employees of the North Olmsted Municipal Bus <br />Line having com pleted five years of full time continuous service as employees <br />of said department shall be paid an :additional 3% of their base annual salary, <br />thereafter until completion of the tenth year of continuous full time service, <br />after which such employees shall receive 4% of their base annual salary, there- <br />after until the completion of the 15th year of continuous full time service, and <br />thereafter 5% of their base annual salary until after the cibmpletion of the 20th <br />year of contimunus full time service and during each year of full time service <br />thereafter they shall receive 6% of their base annual salary as longevity increments. <br />C. In com puting length of service for the purpose of makingpayments of <br />longevity increments hereinabove set forth, no credit shall be given for part-time <br />services, but such limitation is only for the purpose of computing longevity in- <br />crements and the exclusion for part-time service shall not deprive any emplo?%a <br />of any other benefits which may be due them for part-time service as employees <br />in the North Olmsted Municipal Bus Line. <br />D. That there shall be allowed to each bus driver the sum of $65.00 <br />per year for the acquisition of uniforms to be worn while operating a bus for the <br />North Olmsted Municipal Bus Line. <br />E. That upon the appointment of a new bus driver he shall be allowed <br />the sum of $75. 00 for uniforms and accessories for the first year and $65.00 <br />per year after the completion of the first year of such appointgent. <br />Section 2. That all other ordinances or resolutions, or parts of ordinances <br />or parts of resolutions inconsistent herewith to the provisions of this Ordinance <br />and especially Ordinance No. 67-210 effective September 5, 1967, are hereby <br />repealed with the effective date of this Ordinance. <br />Section 3. That a copy of this Ordinance is to be mailed to the Finance <br />Director and Superintendent of the North Olmsted Municipal Bus Line by the <br />Clerk of Coun cil. <br />Section 4. That this Ordinance is hereby declared to be an e mergency <br />measure necessary for the public peace, health, safety and welfare of the City <br />of North Olmsted by virtue of the immediate necessity of maintaining and increas- <br />ing the moral and effectiveness of inembers of the North Olmsted Municipal Bus <br />Line. WHEREFORE, this Ordinance shall take effect and be in force immediately <br />upon its passage, otherwise, at the earliest, period allowed by law. <br />PASSED: I?)
