. .- CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED ORDINANCE NO. 68- 10 # BY AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING CHAPTER 702 ENTITLED " TRAVELING PUBLIC SHOWS OR CARNIVALS, " WHEREAS, the Safety-Service Director has advise council that the city has had many difficulties in the past invoiving the regulations of traveling public shows or carnivals and their employees ; and WHEREAS, Council is of the opinion that it would be for the best interest of the citizens of the City of North Olmsted to establish rules and regulations with respect to permitting traveling public shows or carnivals within the city limits. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAiNED by the Council of the City of North Olmsted, State of Ohio : Section 1: That the Codified Ordinances of the City of North Olmsted be amended by establishing Chapter 702 entitled " Traveling Public Shows or Carnivals ". Section 702.02 - Permit Required : Fee and Application. No persons sinall rent or license to any individual or any group of individuals, or permit to be used by any individual or group of individuals any hall, building , room, yard , lot, or grove to be used by any proprietor or his agent, of a traveling public show or carnival in the city until such person shall file with the Safety-Service I7irector a written or printed application at least 30 days prior to the event setting forth the full name of the sponsoring organization and the name of a responsible individual who will be available 24 hours a day during the time that the traveling public show or carnival is operating or is physical.?pre- sent within the municipal boundaries of the City of North Olmsted. The applicant shall pay to the city $ 50.00 , to be deposited in the General Fund, before the permit is issued, and shall also deposit with? the city an additional $ 500.00 , to cover any cost for services rendered by any department of the city. Section 702.02 - Permit Issuance Requirements. No permit shall be issued until the applicant shall have : A: Made the deposit and completed the application for the permit referred to in Section 702.01. The permit shall state the exact time when the traveling public show or carnival will remain in the City, a complete list of all traveling public show or carnival employees, their home addresses, next of kin, and such further information as the Safety-Service Director may cequirwasM recent areas where the traveling public show or carnival has operated, and a list of the next three places o( operation the traveling public show or carnival will be making after leaving the City of North Olmsted.
